New update for android, any insigth about it?

Hi,

A notification for updating AC has just appeared in my game.
Any volunteer to check for the changes? I am concerned about the jackpot at the casino ... does the update repair the time count?

You need one of the latest versions of android that includes some sort of multiuser support. Mine is 4.2.1 and i guess it was the first with this feature. In fact i updated my tablet os just due to this.

My android version is 4.4.2, seems pretty recent.
Should be, because I only got this tablet in january.

So, what do I need to do to get 2 airport city games on my tablet?

You need to go to the Settings > General Tab > Users. There you can add users. I thought you can have eight users, not sure with that. I have currently my both games running on the same device.

If you want to transfer your data from your phone to your tablet, I think you need to contact GI.

When I got this tablet in January I managed to transfer my game from my old phone to the tablet via the program 'Helium' back up and restore, without any involvement from G! Maybe I can do that again. Nice project for the weekend...

Ok, so I have android version 4.2.2 and I don't have a general tab under settings.  It's a Samsung.  Does that matter?  I just went through all of the settings and don't see anything related to "users".  Any thoughts?  Do you think it matters if it's wi-fi only?

Finally i checked the upgrade by myself. As suspected, the only apparent change was reverting the casino to the proper functioning. Now it offers the posibility to restart the count by paying 7 gold, 150 silver coins. 

Fortunately, i made a backup before the update, which was restored after checking the upgrade.

Btw, you don't need any help from gi (joke mode on) do they help in any case? (Off) to pass your game to another device but a backup program ( and probably, depending on the program, a rooted device).

Yes it does matter. When I was looking for a new tablet I noticed some of the samsung's blocked this functionality. You may be able to override just by rooting your tablet. If that doesn't fix it, you may have to reinstall the operating system. Some of the samsung's also limit the languages available so the Russian missions are out (if they ever have another one).

That's a good option as well, but I'm not sure if Helium works on the second user on the tablet. At least when I open Helium with another user it says I can only use Helium with the "primary user". So if you get it done to use Helium with your second user, please let me know. I want to backup my second game as well, but I don't know how...

Titanium backup is able to handle users. The problem is that it needs a rooted device.

Btw, i am about to buy a samsung tablet and was not aware of the lack of multiuser support for some tablets. For me it is a must (how to play 3 ac games without multiuser?). Does any of you know about this feature in tab s and note 10.1 2014, which are my options now?

As far as I know both of these tablets do have the multipe user capability. At least when I search some information of these tablets, both the Tab S and the Note 10.1 2014 can have up to 8 users.

Indeed helium does not work on my tablet for the second user. For that reason I'm not pursuing this any further. If I can't back up/restore my second game than I don't want to risk it. I leave it on my phone.

I lost my game when my tablet crashed. I contacted GI and they sent me a code to restore it within a day.

I have a Google Nexus myself. I haven't used the multi-user options. Me and hubby already have 4 games going on.

Nice to hear that you had a good experience. Nevertheless I wan't to have my own back up. There are too many horror stories out there   
And also, both my games have the ability to gift 20 fuel. Apparently this can change when you restore it with a GI code. So I'm told...

It's correct, GI will change your outgoing gifts when you restore your game with a code, so if you can backup your games yourself, I would recommend it. But GI changed my gifts with no reason, so apparently they can always change it, and I didn't had a backup at that moment... That's the reason why I lost my ability to gift Fuel with SC  And some other items are changed as well

Hi,

I must warn you about backups with Titanium Backup in multiuser. Unfortunately, my tablet needed a factory reset yesterday and I made a backup with titanium backup for my 3 users (from inside each users' account). The only program for secondary and third users were airport city. I copied the backups to a pc and tried to restore everything ... guess what?

All the backups for the 3 users had the same data from the primary user. So I am just able to restore jedv2 game.

Probably it was my mistake for not configuring TB properly ... but I have lost all the progress (and new friends) for the last month in jedv and jedv3. I had to go for a backup I had made with asus backup application, which works nice.

Can you still try if G! has a newer version of yr games or did you already load up/activate all backups?

When I looked at Titanium Backup I didn't see a way to backup data only. Definitely could have missed it because I didn't spend a lot of time since I already had Helium and my tablet only supports one user.

I sure do miss my Asus and the backup that came with it. Best backup I've ever used. Too bad it didn't pass the drop test.

You could try GI for those two games. As I said, they recovered my game within a day. It may have helped that I had purchased greens in the past, and I can write a pretty convincing sob story how I miss my game.
