could it be that the update doesn't work because of time travel? I saw it is planned (for my tablet) on the 11th of january. maybe they're still working on it?
also, could you give more info about the bug (the game doens't start at all?)

I have the game on a mytouch and when I launch the game, get an error message with a send report or force close option. I still get indications that I have received gifts just to taunt me.

Too late for me. Just had auto-update on and the update went through. I'm experiencing the same issue.

Same here... Hasn't opened since update.... VERY frustrated.

I'm still dreaming about the day when GI makes a bugless update release!!
I doubt this day might come.... Joining GIS sucks club.

Same problem here: right after update game started as usually. There was no event going on, only one new flight destination but can't remember the name. You'll need a jumbo jet for it and a special kind of passangers, I think the name was love passangers or something like that.

But this morning I got a error message and it doesn't start.

is this the same issue with everyone or is it just limited to Android users?
my friend has downloaded the update on his iphone and he has not had any problems

I would guess just for Android users. iOS user already playing on the new version and the valentine event

hello, I am new to this forum, and have an Android Galaxy S 2 - same issue here - when I updated the Valentine's Mission, I can't open the game and force closes every time. I have sent an e-mail to GI support - let's see what they do and how quickly they do anything about this. Very frustrating, as every update they have been doing lately has been crashing and burning - this one was the worst crash and burn I have experienced...

I have installed successfully on both htc hd2 and samsung galaxy note 10.1.
Both running android jb.

Phone is laggy, but no where near as bad as the xmas patch.
The Samsung galaxy note 10.1 is bulletproof. Even GIS and their idiot programmers haven't managed to slow it down.

As for the patch it self... looks like a variation on the crappy xmas theme.

On Galaxy S3 there is no lag at all. (Except after visiting my friends. I think they don't drop the not necessary objects from the memory.)

Lucky me it starts ok in my phone but when visiting neighbors it takes a lot time to run. Also when you return to your own airport take a lot of time.

I have updated (HTC Sensation, Android) and was able to browse through the game. I even got some of those elusive "Love Passengers"... Once I started visiting my first neighbour the game crashed and hasn't been able to start since!

I updated, works well, except you'll have to wait around 1-2minutes to start the game.

well, I read the warnings and still tried it (have an Android so thought maybe I was safe)...force close...I'll try again later, but looks like another "winner" from GIS

I tried it as well and now get the force close message. What a load of crap!

Everybody, who are triing: please make a titanium backup (or other backup) of the apk, to have a chance, to downgrade.

i updated 3 hrs ago, inspite of all the warnings.. but it's working fine till now on my tab... (touchwood!! )..

so here's the deal with the new update....

u get 5 new places,which are just for this promo-

Venice- 19 romantic passengers and 12 oil

Maldives- 32 romantic passengers and 14 oil

Provence- 44 romantic passengers and 22 oil

Verona- 90 romantic passengers and 30 oil

Riviera- 200 romantic passengers and 48 oil

Sweet shops,gazebos,bridal salons and romantic cafes no longer yield coins..they yield romantic passengers now.

Gazebo- 6 passengers in 1 hour

Bridal salon- 35 passengers in 18 hours

Romantic cafe- 4 passengers in 20 mins

Sweet shop- 12 passengers in 8 hours

And we have to complete 3 collections each of Dolce Vita, Valentine's bouquet and also build 3 merry-go-round by completing a Plush toy collection.

Thankfully my airport still works after the Valentine's update, however I am not able to visit friends, and the game startup is extremely slow!

What a pain in the neck the waiting for visiting neighbors and for returning to your own airport!!!!...hope they fix this soon!!!!

The problem exists, even after the very last update, a few hours ago.

Has someone backed up the version of the game before the valentine's update, as varszegig suggested, to share with the rest of us the .apk file?

Anyone seen a conservatory yet? I didnt find it anywhere, how do I get one?!?!

New update 1.81 fixed problems with start up? I see different opinion here? I didn't update 1.79 and wonder if 1.81 is safe?

take still a long time to load the game, and very difficult to visit neighbour on galaxy S2

1.81 works fine! Visiting neighbors is a bit slow but it still works better then yesterdays update

Thx for news. I am going to update. Visiting friends take a lot of time also on old version. So it is maybe general server problems regardless of the version

I will stop visiting friends untill they fixed it. About the dolce vita collection. You need 3 of them to complete the challenge. I'm playing over half a year now and I have never completed this collection. So for me this is already undoable within 10 days. What a load of crap again, did somebody say GIS sucks? They do!!

OK, I couldn't stay away! After a 2-week break during which I rarely played (only enough to keep up with my spaceship launches) I am back and working on the Wings of Love quest. Who has the conservatory in their city? Please let the rest of us know if you've got a conservatory so that we know to visit your city. The conservatory drops flowers for the Valentine's Bouquet. Heh, I had conservatory but about year ago as award for spring mission. But Easter mission deleted all buildings from warehouse. It was a bug:( (it was year ago an gi still sucks:)) I was starting game and was lack of space
and i havn't placed it from warehouse.
The funniest thing is that 2 weeks ago I canceled dozen of my old friends who has conservatory because they abandoned game only litter my neighborhood:)
Now I have one Rock72 and I dont know her code.

Apart from the GI went to the sitter joined last year's Valentine's Day and the spring edition.

Same buildings, most flights and items. O e goog thing is to finnish I need only one bear and 3 orhideas because other items I have from year.
I was expecting something new.

If you're like me and still can't open the game despite the latest update (though it did load briefly enough yesterday so I could get the weekend code in before crashing again!), there's a message today from GI on the FB site:


"Dear ANDROID players!

We want to let you know that we're aware of the situation you might have with the latest update. Please have no doubt that we're trying to solve it as soon as possible. Since the latest update became available, we're doing our best to present you another one that will eventually show how much time we spend, and how many efforts we apply to make the game better.
We are grateful for all your replies and support! Please have a little more patience, our team is already working on this situation. A new update is expected to be available very soon!"

Thank jon- for the news, I got the same message from GIS today too (as a reply to my open ticket). I have Samsung S3 and my game still crashes when loading and when visiting neighbors (but not all the time), also it takes ages to load and visit friends!

it is called "Garden of Love" and drops 90 coins every 4hrs...

does pruning the flowers of your friends do anything? I've done about 20 or so, and I haven't had anything drop...assumed it would drop shears every now and then, but if not, I'll stick to the V-Day buildings instead.

I'm getting pruning shears being dropping when I click on friends flowers. Hit rate is about 1 in 15 attempts.
