Game crash - it came from outer space game

An update on my post. Having started a new game I contact GI support asking for their help by either restoring my game without crashes/freexing etc or replacing the 400+ greens and coins I have purchased. Having spent time emailing each individual purchase receipt number, old & new game name, basically all the information they requested, I was given a code which I entered expecting to get 400+ greens etc, but no they have restored my game which froze as soon as I opened it and as before doesn't open. Did I miss something??? I thought I would be getting help on the issue........ FRUSTRATED

It's been 12 days without my game, so I downloaded another one for my tablet, the best thing in this new game is that I can gift: calculator, video wall (MCC1), spaceship console (MCC2), altimeters, tyres and airplane seats.
I sent a ticket to GIS to recover an old game from last year that I deleted by error, hope they can restore it.
So if I get lucky, I will give my other friend code to help.

I just checked Google Play and Airport City has change its pic and says Update June 11....so today we will have the update!!!!!

I update the game .. But the problem is not solved !! It's the same problem, the game dosn't enter and ask me to send report !

NZ2 wont install (Tablet)- errors while downloading - "Package File is invalid"

New Upgrades

Terminal, Control Tower and Town Hall all upgradeable to LVL 7
Terminal $360,000 Max 800 Passengers
Town Hall $540,000 Max Population 980
Control Tower $500,000 Max Hangers 9

Mine has started working again after the upgrade. New giftable items: fuel catalyst, laptop, arch metal detector, monitor.

Just updated ver 1.98 but still not working.

I'm on version 1.97. Mine crashed out again whilst visiting neighbours, but managed to get back in. So looks like its not fixed completely yet.

Jusy updated to v1.98, it is seem ok. I play 20 minutes and no problem. I give up the outer space challenge, it only has 8 days left and impossible to complete it in 8 days.

Still not working after update.

NZ1 - Phone - working still - ver 1.97 - more sluggish
NZ2 - Tablet - still crashing after update to ver 1.98

Its truly staggering this company is constantly so inept at providing a stable playable game.

Something that I noticed that may give a clue as to what's happening. When I visited neighbours whose games have crashed, mine also crashed. Visiting neighbours whose games are ok was fine.

This seems to suggest that there may be an issue with the gamedata that's stored on the GI servers. So when I try to visit those neighbours, its receiving corrupt data from the GI servers and hence it fails.

This may also explain why some users are able to work with wifi turned off, as its using local data from the phone/tablet. With wifi turned on, its getting/syncing data with the GI servers and therefore fails again.

If this is the case, then updating the game on the device may not resolve the problem as the core gamedata on the servers may still be corrupt.

Try running your device in flight-mode and see if the game still crashes. Although it does mean that you can't send/recieve gifts or visit neighbours if this option does work for you.

I have read that if with this update we can't open, we probably have corrupted files.

Which are the solutions?
Delete then reinstall the game and ask GIS to restore your game  OR
Wait for a fix in their servers?

kept humoring myself by trying to start NZ2 today.... and it did!?!
So both games running again.

Anyone notice re-fueling and loading takes ALOT longer now...

I tried with Wi-Fi on and off, but the same problem, the game dosen't work, and tried flight-mode, also the same, the game dosen't enter !

Updated to ver 1.99.02 and still not work!!!

Another update V1.99.01 appeared in my phone. But crashed again.

Firstly, you don't know that they don't do testing.  It's impossible to test absolutely everything - there are so many usage paths.  And then you cry out for a quick fix, which automatically means that not everything will be tested.

Secondly, it's very hard to fix corrupted data, which is why a lot of the crashed games won't come right.  If it was just an in-game bug, then you could restart each time and predict where the bug would happen, but the fact that the game won't boot means there is a corrupt data.

People without development experience talk cheap.

2 updates and the problem is still unresolved !!

Today my game :)angelus started by itself, I was surprised when I pick up my phone I saw the game running. What I saw is that my data saved went from 10MB to 1.5MB, I think they have send me a new data so my game could open. My game was intact, I could collect all the gifts (321) from 16 days since the first update.

So I'm back!!!...I will have my 2 games, with angelus2 will help with calculators, altimeters, aircraft tire and seat.

Thats is also the only massage I get.

How annoying. I blame the outerspace update, but I also added over twenty friends (like 135 total) just before the game crashed and would not reload.

So after a few days waiting I bit the bullet and started a new game.


Hope I get better results this time. (*snort*)

My game has come back to life, only took 1 month to sort it - good old GiS!

Yeah my game (version 1.99.01) is still not working either.  I'm still going through the painful process of back and forth emails to GI.  They are going like this:

Me:  My game doesn't work.
Yana:  I have transferred your data to our specialists so I will close this ticket.
Me:  Please don't close this ticket until I have a working game.
Yana:  The specialists are working on the issue so I will close this ticket.
Me:  My game has been broken for over two weeks.  I am waiting for an update that works.  I will let you know when it is working again but until that time I would appreciate it if you would not close this ticket.

Hi, I didn't actually do anything. I think it was the most recent upgrade to 1.99.01. I visited the Play store, clicked open game and after a pause and a black screen for 10 seconds it came back to life. It's just a patient waiting game until they sort out the glitch on different phones running slightly different operating systems. Hope yours is next!

My game is back after 2wks .... yesterday I wrote to GI from ingame support request page...and now its back online...Doh

Haha, I have (probably) the same Yana.
I too asked to solve the problem, got a standerdized mail back ("We're working on it, wait for the update", blablabla) 
I said to not mark the problem as solved because it isn't and asked for more info. She said they didn't feel the necessity to give such (or more) information. I fell off my chair reading that.
Got the same version btw, hope they solve my ticket soon, but don't expect it.

HAHA same experience here. The standart copy & paste answers. I even don't think that a real person is answering. It must be a program like a telephone answering set

She has just mailed me back telling me to uninstall and reinstall the game - looks like I've been reduced to the 'last resort' technique. I hope they can get my game back to the way it was, including neighbours! Will keep you posted...

So after several weeks of emails to GI about a fix for my crash, I got fed up and started asking for a refund on the greens I purchased.  I got the standard reply from Yana at first, then another email asking to uninstall and reinstall the game from Google Play, and to send her my new friend code.  Low and behold, this morning I received an email with a new code to enter into the friend code field.  A restart of the game and my city was restored, friend list and warehouse complete.  If you want details on the emails I sent and received, pm me and I will copy and paste them in my response.

@R3d_F1v3 - Good news... Glad to know that the neighbours are also restored - I will send you some fuel20 later on to check the neighbours is all synced..

I'll wait for the next update, maybe they can fix it then. If not I give the uninstall / reinstall a try. I'm afraid of this last resort because I've the fear that they can't restore my game completely and I could lose some of my very first and old neighbours

Almost....it looks like they restore game before ufo mission. I dont have one star from ufo flight, that I take before game crash. I remember that just before "cursed" ufo update I have been preparing to aztec flight lots of fuel, all green plane- and I got back in this state.

Yes I appear to be back online too!  I was just about to uninstall and reinstall but before doing that I updated my firmware and that seemed to do the trick!  Now it's time to play catch up.  Shame I missed out on the UFO mission.

Yeah my phone has been whinging at me for a while now to do a system update (I have a Sony Xperia P).  I was previously on Android version 2.something and Build number 6.0.something, and I just did the normal update via the Sony Update Service to Android version 4.1.2 and Build number 6.2.A.1.100.  So I'm guessing the reason my game hasn't been working is because either Game Insight are incapable of creating a game without bugs galore or the latest update just wasn't compatible with my phone's old firmware.  Or both.

Yana provides me the uninstall/instal as well. Butt first I will try to update my phone to 4'1'? Android

Let me know if this works Sky. I would try everything first before the radical step of Uninstall / install

Finally I can come back to my favorite airport city!
These are the steps that I've taken:

1. Issue an in-game question in this web page:
http://www.game-insight.com/support/gethelp/platform/android
2. Yana replys and asks me to uninstall / reinstall airport city from Google play.
3. Try to figure out my original Friend code (thanks God I've recorded it in this forum! ).
4. Play through the tutorial and get the new Friend code.
5. Report my old and new Friend codes to Yana, and she provids me with a special friend code that restores my profile (my Friend code is also restored to the original one).

Thank yana's help, my neighbor list remains well. Now I'm happily gifting back to my friends.

I got over 100 gifts after I restored the game.
Maybe some gifts were lost, but I think most of them were reserved successfully.
