Who has taken the plunge and updated to the new version? Is gifting working properly again?

Found this on another forum:

1. New destinations: Pyongyang-level 61, Busan-62, Osaka-63, Boston-64, Tehran-65, Baghdad-66, Damascus-67, Riyadh-68, Kabul-69, Jakarta-70. All require new furniture factory building and I'm assuming, Thunderbird plane (available at level 61).

2. Some buildings have new designs. Not bad looking personally speaking.

3. New adventure flights and corresponding collections:
Excavations: Ancient Africa, Timbuktu, cirta, Tipaza, Nairobi, Tripoli (all require level 65)
Excavations: Ancient India, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennaikanpur (all require level 70)

4. Leveling up from 60 to 61 requires 100,000 experience points, and probably the same for each additional level. I can't remember if that's standard after level 50 or not. Maybe @greensmith can chime in on that one.

5. Warehouse items are listed in alphabetical order once again.

Fate poked in both eyes and plunge taken. Troglodyte still won't load, no surprise there. I have sent fuel to Wabbitgirl2, can't send to Wabbitgirl because she is no longer on my list. I have sent friend requests to Wabbitgirl and Parking God, however Wabbitgirl is not showing in my waiting list. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Lollipop received thank you, it's the first gift I've received since the half-baked version. The latest hasn't made anything worse, but no way of knowing how it would affect anyone who didn't eff-up their game in the first place.

If anyone else can get gifts through to me, I need earplugs or chocolate candies please.

Me too, and that's a drag. Fuel20 is a great 'I can't think of what to gift someone, so I'll give this" because EVERYBODY can use fuel.

Looks like I found a major problem with the update, "send in return" no longer works. I did a test with a neighbour from all 4 of my games and she received either fuel or passengers in return, not the equivalent item.

Speaking of gifting.....I just have to complain, I HATE the new way of gifting. Very confusing. Can't leave anyone to gift later, they disappear.

Hi All,

All three of our games are updated. At least to a certain extent gifting is working better, but I think WG is right about Send in Return not working properly, though I haven't tested it extensively.

I'm sorry - I've got a lot of personal stuff going on right now, and don't have time to do anything but Send in Return, but I will do that. Maybe you'll at least get passengers or fuel or something. I know we all have new items now, but I don't have time to update my list right now either. Finally, I know some neighbors dropped. If you no longer see me/us, send me a PM and a request. Sometimes the requests aren't working because a person on one end gets dropped but not the other end. Then you have to delete and start over. I'm willing to do that for anyone who sends me a PM and their game name.

Remember, Simonbabybird is the contact for that account as well as Togodzilla and Babybirdbabybird.

FYI: If you are requesting the furniture factory items ahead of time before you reach level 61, you will not receive them. You will receive passengers or fuel instead.

The gifting system has changed to the disadvantage of all players now.

Beware of bug with the new furniture factory!!

If you are building more than one furniture factory, you need to complete them all before any of them will work and allow you to fly the new thunderbird. I am so happy I only decided to start with 3.... Very Happy

...just one more to complete. Gives me time to collect beds.

"We've found it: if you have several such buildings and at least some of them are under construction, the one you have completed is not counted as valid as well. So, either complete all of them, or put those under construction to inventory.

The issue will be addressed in the next update, of course."

To put the uncompleted furniture factory in inventory will cost another 400K, almost the price we paid originally, 500K. Or you need to use greenies to complete it.

Don't they make this game so much fun!!.....it's almost humorous at times. No idea what would happen if a person completed one and then starting construction on another one, but I am not about to give it a try.

All flights are 5 hours and require bed and e-reader, 40 fuel, 150 passengers

New collections also but I haven't checked into these yet.

So exactly the same model as the Falcon flights, with Lollipop replacing Blanket and e-reader replacing Ear Plugs. Oh, and now I need 1,896 more lollipops, not 1,396. Super.

Hi Pilots,

My game is restored, and I have updated o 4.7.12. Gifting is still a little bit messed up (after a few kicks on send-in-return, the whole list is gone).

My game code has changed -- have updated my profile.

My gift list has also changed, and I don't have time to update the list yet. Sadly I no longer can gift fuel20.

The new items that I can gift: Sliding Table Saw, Bed, E-reader

My current needs: any new items.

I agree, gifting is quite different now. Make a note of everyone who sent you a gift. This also allows you to keep track on who your regular gifting neighbours are.

If you don't TAKE the gift, it will not disappear and will stay until you do take it, even when leaving the gifting window.

To start my gifting, I only take the gifts I can do a "send in return", however, if you don't "send in return" right away, it will disappear.

I then take all the rest of the gifts and as soon as I leave the gifting window, all gifts I have taken will disappear and this is okay as those are the neighbours I need to send something else to anyway.

Hope this helps a bit but I sure wish they would bring the old way back.

I know this thread is suppose to be for swapping but since there are only a few of us, I hope it is okay to let you in on a new bug a few of us have found.

The duty free is not paying the proper amount of coins, in fact it is only paying very few, like 3 - 5 coins no matter what level we do. We are all IOS so this may be only our games but if an Android user would like to take a look next time, let us know if it is working for you.

Don't think we really need to worry too much about sticking to only swapping, it's nice to chat a bit and it keeps the forum going.

The duty free is no better on Android only paying out 5 coins, just tested it on the lowest setting which should have paid 80 coins.

Has anyone braved the latest update yet? Just tried it on my old iPad as I had nothing to lose and surprisingly Troglodyte has come back to life!

I have updated all my IOS games and so far so good. The update was for a fix for players losing experience. It seemed to happen more to Android users though from what I read.

Nice you finally have Troglodyte back. After you get him settled, let us know what you need.
