Back to School Event 2014 - Who has University?

After the long wait, G! brought back the Back-to-School event.  The event doesn't change much from last year (99% the same except for the reward building, which I have not looked it up from any other sources).  Drivefast99 wrote up a very detailed event guide last year:

I have 2 Universities, and will try to build more.  I have moved them near the Stadium.  Please feel free to visit.

I have 2 3 4 Universities...but cannot visit anyone - I get an error indicating the "friend" had an out-of-date version.

Day Two: lost yesterday's visits entirely. GI did it again.

Day three: fixed!

...and broken again.  :-(

And fixed...and broken...and fixed.  Sigh.

I auto-completed the event, at least I have all collections completed, but am just flying to the new destinations to collect some stars.

And I have two Universities, on the left side of my city

I have 5 universities in the middle of my city.  One has been around since last year, just built one out of my warehouse and earned one today.

Did anyone already finished the event? I can finish it, since I have already completed all collections, but I want to collect stars from the new destinations first.
But I'm just curious what kind of building we'll get for finishing the event.

For me it's useless to fly to the event destinations, since I already 3-starred the three of them last year, I was hoping I could 3 star them again. But I didn't auto complete the event, still need some items, so I don't know what the reward is this year.

2 universities in my city!

Only have one. Upper right corner close to the planetarium. Thinking I might pass on this. Don't need another 2x2 building that boosts population by +20, and yields 90 coins every 4 hours. My current population is 1190/2245.

There are now 5 Universities in my city. All in a row behind my Villas. Will leave them up for the duration of the event. Best of luck to my neighbors. Spyglasses--use them if you got them!

I only have one university due to the limit of city land.

Still don't have one...the drop rate from the destinations sucks, but even worse is the drop rate from the universities. I don't expect getting a university will be the problem...it's going to be the other 2 things that I'm starting to have problems with...visited my neighbors today, and only 2 buildings had drops (although, they each dropped 2 things each)...still 4 items per day won't cut it.

I'll update when I have universities...good luck to all!

The back to school event just disappeared from my game, as well as the new destinations
I didn't even have the time to complete it and there still was 9 days until the end.. Am I the only one?

Event is back!!
It is during these moments I realise how addicted I am to this game

This is a new 'feature' G! putin (pun intended..) , yesterday it happened to my airship. I restarted the game 'et voila' it was back again.

Well I had an answer from GI's support.. Nice to be accused of something I didn't do. I didn't even travel in the past days.. so no time change..

so how does one prevent time traveller warning from happening? if I am actually going to a different time zone, my phone will automatically update when the signal gets picked up at the destination..

I don't want to have to set a static time just for G! games...zzz

I guess they can see where you are (GPS? IP?) and if your time changes although you didn't move, they block your game..

Well, that was a nice little thread to read. Time traveling, pfff I sympathize with you. It's a pain. 

Anyway, back to subject: Erik1 has 4 universities meanwhile, right hand side next to the planetarium and Erik2 has 1, in front of the Aztec pyramid.

My collections aren't going too well...not sure how I'll fare with 5 days left. Oh well...I'll update if I ever get a university.

Do you visit other universities? I completed the 2nd and 3rd collections several times this way.

The top one is really bad luck. Keep on flying it will drop. At least you'll collect some stars... 

Not to rub salt in anybody wounds..., but I just finished this event for both my games. I did not click complete yet, because I'm not sure if I will lose any abilities. Does anybody know? Will the destinations disappear, or will my universities only give coins and no more items? 

Anyway, I'm happy to visit all yr launch platforms etc.. again and get some serious amounts of launch ready boxes. Much better

Yes, your event destinations will disappear and your universities will only drop coins for you. I think they will still drop items for your visitors. If you need the stars, keep flying.

Thanks, good to know. I'll keep it open and keep flying for some extra stars and maybe universities in my warehouse.

Good idea.  Extra universities in the warehouse are good because at some point you'll probably need room and need to destroy most of the ones you have now... and if you're around and if they do the event again next year, you'll be ready.

Yes, I have been visiting folks' universities...only way I've received some of my items. Well, evidently, all you have to do is post a complaint on this site, and the Airport City gods hear you! Still stuck without a university (which is frustrating since I have all 3 stars for Cambridge and almost all 3 for Sorbonne), but the drop rate from other people's uni's was awesome today! Still not done, but:

So, I have some hope...provided the next few days' drop rates are as good.

I now have six and based on everyone's input, I will start to stockpile for the future.  Thanks,
