Easter Cheer Event 2014

Welcome to Easter Cheer 2014 - I updated this information from last year's thread:

New promo for Easter.
A lot of collecting things from your own city and that from your neighbors.
10 days time.
2 collections: farmer market and Easter eggs.
You need 4 time each collection and 75 leaves to finish promo.
No new flights.

Seems like clicking neighbor's rabbits only produces leaves sometimes - and clicking neighbor's flowers is dropping silver sickles often.

Looks like last year the drops from the markets were horrible.  So good luck everyone!  

I'll try to keep a list a here of people that have farmer's markets.  I sleep some at night and work during the day so the updates may only be daily.  If adding anyone below, please give them the courtesy of a PM to let them know you are a forum member.

EDIT: A question what is the best stategy? Clicking friends plant to get sickles to get eggs and getting you own farmers market or using the sickles you get from gifts only and clicking friends farmers markets to try and get that collection?

Thanks for the info.

Some additional info:

THERE ARE new flights, not directly related with the main tasks, but required to upgrade control mission center to level 3 (4 days building time, 4 cash to speed up).

- Plesetsk (Big plane) - drops for mission center lvl3
- Jiuquan (Jumbo) - drops for ?? (maybe a new colection)

For the control mission you need (giftable):
- 4 horn antennas (horribly translated to "antena de cuerno" in spanish, its real name is "antena de bocina" ;-)
- 4 parabolic (a new one) antennas
- 4 vivaldi antennas (what the hell is this in real life? I work in telecommunications and never heard about this before ;-)
- 4 yagi antennas

You can also get items needed from Houston.

BTW: The old error regarding no buttons after visiting neighbors IS BACK!

I would concentrate on clicking markets. The drop rate is horrific

Thanks for the additional info. I noticed Plesetsk in my list. I am leaving the main thread Easter event specific but this information is great .

And it's not an error, it's a new feature with the event  Only way I found out of this is to go kill the game in app manager and restart it. Anyone have a better suggestion?

I have four markets too, if people need more of them to click.

If you mean the disappearing list of neighbors while visiting neighbors...thats never left AFAIK.

EE here and I had to look it up! It's a funny looking broadband microstrip antenna.

I too had that exact problem DriveFast99 & I had to quit the game and open it again. Seems like there a better chance for you to encounter bugs than get a good dropping rate. Gotta love G!

The bug IOS users are experiencing now is instead of neighbors getting silver sickles which are sent, they are receiving old horseshoe. So if anyone does receive an old horseshoe from me or another IOS user, that is if you get any gift at all from me (very sparodic), that is not what is sent.

Wabbitgirl now has 4 farmers markets and Wabbitgirl2 has 4. Good luck everyone with the quest.

You are lucky I still need one egg to build my first one.

I have 3 farmers markets and hopefully get that last egg for number four shortly.

Sent friend requests to those of you I didn't already have except 21. Says your code is invalid. Maybe I tried before and you denied me, not sure.

I have at least 6 farmer's markets in stock but have to kill my city again to be able to build them. Can I rebuild my buildings after building the farmer's markets without having to delete them again to build another needed building for this event?
I will first use up all my clovers to earn some more farmer's markets, and then destroy my city first thing tomorrow morning

Historically I don't recall any bldg that increases the population limit requiring any population itself.

Can anyone confirm/dispute?

I know it's early days but this appears to still be the case - not a single drop yet for me.

Is the drop rate better from one's own Farmer's Market than from neighbors'

Nope - they changed it.  I can't build past my max population even when the buildings are still under construction. - I demolished a lot of my houses to build farmer's markets.  The drop rate is bad so you will need plenty of markets in order to finish this event. Once the event is over, I will demolish some of my markets so I can build back my houses.

So i guess i'm not the only one, after visiting over 12 neighbors' multiple markets and my own 5 markets over 10 times today, not a single drop.  I have a 6th market in storage, perhaps i should just build it in hopes that it will increase the chance of actually obtaining all the food items.

so I have 7 markets built now, but I guess it doesn't matter since you can only click 5 at a time o.o Oh and i got my first food drop!!!! so excited /sarcasm

I now have 4 markets to. And i am always in need of good neighbors so pleas feel free to add me!

There are two new flight destinations:
Jiuquan: needs Flight Catering and Oscillating Beacon, Jumbo. (Flighttime 8 hours, stars at 30/60/120)
Plesetsk: needs Flight Catering and Blanket, Giant. (Flighttime 9 hours, stars at 50/100/150)

Sadly you're right! I hate GI!
So sad to see my city like this again, even the happy bunnies don't make it right...
On the positive: I have 8 farmer's markets to visit!

Oh great. So GI fixed the population loophole. That's going to take a lot of the fun out this game.

After the last few hours I should recommend to everyone maximum markets possible. I have got so far 2 drops from neighbors. I am hitting all my 10 markets every hour and got additional 5 items. I have tried to place more markets, but no luck, maximum is 10. So I have not completed a single set yet. This is amazing.

I've had pretty good luck considering what everyone has been saying...completed 6 egg collections and 2 market collections within the past two days. Feel like my luck is likely to run out!

What a ridiculous event .... really after 3 days not a single market drop with 90 markets (30 markets daily) from neighbors visits.

You will probably already all know this but I still want to share for those who don't:
When you collect from you markets, it will help to collect really quick from each market after each other. Then when something does drop you will receive it multiple times.

Yesterday I got one item thrice and this morning one item four times. When I will receive one item four times a day it will still be possible to complete the collections.
But I'm still hoping GI will adjust the droprates!

Pretty much the same here.

I wonder if it helps to build one's own Markets first? Since the strategy of waiting to tear down (murder) your city has changed, I might just go build the markets now.

Still going with the quest i must have been super lucky as i'm all sorted with it.
I did build the markets as soon as i could so that i could start benefiting from the drops of my own markets tho. i seemed to get alot of items fast and then for the last 2 days was just waiting for 3 of the same item from the market.
For me the hardest item to get is the fresh vegetables. I've still only collected 5. The easiest item has been dairy products and i've collected 20 of these.

Good luck all with the quest and let me know if you need silver sickles. You could always try raise your chances by building a 5th or 6th market.

Still need 1 fresh vegetable for Hotdog and 2 fresh vegetable for Hotdog2. Been waiting for 3 days for the fresh vegetable      

Fresh vegetables was also the hardest for me to get but I did find everything to complete the quest on both of my games 2 days ago. I have not had another fresh vegetable drop from my markets since though on either game, everything else but fresh vegetables.

Not sure if this has made a difference, but I am an IOS user and I found a lot of my items visiting IOS neighbours and did get a lot of drops from my own markets as well. Several of you are neighbours with me so worth a try visiting my markets or if you have any other IOS neighbours.

Now maybe this is pity points from GI since they have messed up our ability to gift consistently and that is why I have not been posting on the Android group for a while. If any of you do send me a gift and I actually receive it, I do gift back. Just not sure if you are receiving them from me.
