Halloween Quest

Hi everybody,

Since this morning I can see there (finally) is a "new" quest: Halloween!
It was expected as I know there's been a similar quest last year and the year before.

As I only started the game in March, I wanted to get some info from the veterans :
1) Is it the same quest as described here? (looks like) : https://airportcity.forumotion.com/t979-new-halloween-quest-coming

2) According to what I could see, I'll need at least 8 greens for the crystal ball and 14 greens for the soul net. Is it really worth it? It seems like a very important investment compared to other quests I've done so far.

Hi Dagon,

I'm up way too late and saw the quest too. I thought at first I'd have to pay greens, which I refuse to do for anything other than land, so was disappointed. But then I dug deeper. You can get an "Abnormal Activity" collection from flying to the quest cities (Transylvania, Salem, etc.) which rewards you with the crystal ball. Then using the Crystal ball, you can get a "Warlock's Collection" collection which rewards you with a soul net. How easy this is to do, I have no idea.

At least, I think I'm right about this, but I'm a relative newbie at the game, so I hope more seasoned people will gently jump in to correct me if I'm wrong.

If any of my neighbors out there has a Halloween shop, a Cemetery, or a Pumpkin Bed, I'd love to know about it.

Not available for Android yet.  You should be able to complete without spending any greens (at least you could last year)

Annoying that android players don't have this yet. especially as I understand that we'll send each other quest related gifts...

I have the following buildings if anyone would like to visit, and they are located near the Planetarium:

- Halloween shop x2
- Cemetery x2
- Pumpkin Bed x1

I will send-in-return any quest items.

Last year I didn't need to spend Green$ to complete the event. This one was not as bad as the Christmas/Easter events.

Small question: I received a spy glass bonus from one of the Halloween "mini"-quests. It increases the chances of quest item drop of 150%. This "drop" term is not clear to me: does it also concern the drop rate of e.g. the Halloween shops I'd visit in one of my neighbour cities, or only the drop rate of returning flights?

FYI: IOS no longer receives the fuel (50) on completion, how about with Android?

Who has Cemeteries, Halloween Shops, and Pumpkin Patches and want a bunch of nosy neighborhoods poking around?

Unfortunately, having never experienced this event, I have none to share.

I can gift Aerosol.

Nope - looks like there is no fuel this year .

I have 5 Halloween shops and 3 cemeteries all together out in the open.

Wabbitgirl has 3 halloween shops, 2 cemeteries and 2 pumpkin patches.

Drop rate on mine are non existent so far and I have collected very few items from neighbours. I am waiting for someone to answer Darkdagon to see if a spyglass helps with this.

I tried the spyglass.  For ghost planes - did not help.

For the black wrath (with soul net) - seemed to help - had 3 drops out of 6 black wraths.

For the Halloween shops, did not help.  5 Halloween shops, 5 hours.  Received 2 wood chips (together on 2 quick clicks).

I say one spy glass wasted.

Oddly, except for one item I got from my own Halloween shop, I got every other item from yours and completed the collection. I've gotten nothing from other neighbors though I keep trying. So I now also have a cemetery, which is pretty cool. I love that they don't need a road.

Still hoping for more people that can gift the aerosol because that's what's going to keep me from winning. Surely the spyglass should help with those flights?

Two Halloween shops, one pumpkin patch and ten cemeteries.

Employing a Spy Glass prior to visiting your neighbors will increase drop rates.

Agree with Bestwench & Bastoska, the drop rate on neighbors is higher than on my own city.

I was so happy to hear my city helped you. I agree with you, trying to get enough aerosol is going to be the challenge for sure. The spyglass may help with more drops, but unfortunately it may drop a bunch of the other items and not aerosol.

Good luck with the rest of the quest....

Golden Dice used on return flights from Windsor have dramatically increased drop rates of all items--most jets dropping multiple items too include aresol

The drop rate on my own Halloween shops is ridiculous..

If anyone wants to visit I've got 4 Halloween shops & a haunted house (by the camping ground) and lots of graveyards (4 behind hangers and another behind alien statue - this with pumpkin patch). Can only gift the rather hopeless Leyden jar I'm afraid.

Don't forget that visiting planes are refreshed by visiting and returning from neighbours; I've got 28 ghost planes per crystal ball making this part of the quest very easy...

My game with code "akonon4" could gift aerosol if you need, but my main game has no luck with the drops despite 7 halloween shops in the city. Seems to me another quest I fail, becuase I will never spend 18 greenies on single box with items. Good luck guys

Cemeteries seem to be especially generous.

                     Erik2 has 1 haloween shop, 2 cemeteries and 1 pumpkin patch. 

Did you guys realize that a cemetery requires 8 population ?  I mean, what can I say   ?

It's for all the previous residents in your city. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to GI.

It was on my quests last year. I didn't get any of the quests this year for Dark Skies, guess it's a one time only. All my new quests have been for the new buildings.

I decided to click the complete button for the quest on Wabbitgirl and to my surprise the Silent Hill reward is 3 x 3.....so make sure you have enough room to build it.

adds 20 to the city population
generates coins, 180 every 12 hours

For Android it increased population with 50. At least that's what it says in the info, I didn't check my max population because I added some other buildings at the same time.
Can anyone confirm this?
