New update 1.9.9.06: Voyage, voyage

Just got a new update with new assignment for level 30 and higher. You need to find 4 collections from St Petersburg, Barcelona and Las Vegas. I guess I am asking for spare wires now.

I actually completed the first St Petersburg collection a few weeks ago after about 400 fllights. I hope the drop rate is a bit better now.

So far no problems. Only: all the pop up menus for friends, flights or collection are screenfilling and ugly. They do work though.

I always play on my phone and although it's a big screen (Xperia Z) the pop up menus were a bit too small in my opinion. For me it's much better now. Only issue so far is that I'm used to play at 75% zoom. But when you play at 75% you can't click the "use" button when you want to use a fuel catalyst (or something like that). You have to change your zoom level to use these now.

Furthermore I hope and think the droprates will be higher, I've been trying to finish the Petersburg mission for a couple of weeks now. With droprates like 1 item for every 50 flights or something. Now after 4 flights coming in I got 2 items.


EDIT: Those fuel things that will speed up your flight can't be used on my phone at all. Not at 75,100 or 125% zoom.

Anyone know what the prize for completing this assignment is ?

Was wondering this myself. Unless they changed the drop rates, I have a feeling this may be one of those challenges that will be a pain. I've been trying for months to finish ONE Las Vegas collection.

That said, if the end prize is worth it, I could justify using a spyglass/dice to help...

Also, I've noticed the in-game menus are now using a slightly different font, and the friends list is *finally* alphabetized. Makes looking for a user slightly easier

I got multiple items from one flight to Vegas this morning. Last night I got. two items from one flight to Petersburg. So the droprates are definitely much higher.

I've been busy with the Petersburg mission for two months now, so I had some items but didn't finished it yet. After the update I completed it twice.

For anybody who wants to pay his way through this mission, I don't think it's possible. At least I don't see the option to pay greens for completing a collection or anything.

My drop rate is about 1 every 4 flights. Pretty good I think.

The drop rates have changed from very seldom to seldom which gives quite nice drop rates.

The update completely reset my game. And my addiction just made me shrug it off and keep playing, even though I was quite far along. Anyway, I updated my profile with the new code, and the whole list of gifts I can send, although I am only Level 9 now. If anything on my list looks like something you might need from me, send me a request. Thanks.

No one knows the reward for completing the challenge?

Yes I've noticed this, as well--glad that change was made! I've been able to complete one St. petersburg collection, but after 10-12 flights to Las Vegas, not a single drop. Fingers crossed!

The drop rates are always high the first day of a new challenge. They want to entice you. They will go back to normal soon so get as many flights in before they change.

I got a complete Las Vegas collection in one drop!

What I hate is that my notification bar is now invisible. I can't see the time anymore.

I am waiting until my Blue Rocket returns before updating.  I don't want to risk loosing it!

Hi all,

I haven't updated the game to the latest version, but the voyage-voyage challenge is available. The drop rate is better than before, but the last item is always hard to get (for St. Peterberg, 10-6-8-0-4). I'm debating whether or not to update -- I wonder if upgrading would even improve the drop rate, but the I won't be able to use Fuel Catalyze.

Did anyone complete the challenge without updating the game?

I have already completed the Voyage-Voyage yesterday, yet I still have NOT updated my game.  It took me 3 days to finish the mission (yet my planes were flying non-stop from 7am in the morning to 12:30am at night).  I also used 9 planes at the same time, and used the Fuel Catalyst whenever I could.

My drop rates are similar to everyone.  It's definitely better than the previous missions, and there's always one collectible that never shows up.  I purposely did not update the game yet coz I am worried that I couldn't use the fuel catalysts, which means my flights will take at least one to two hours longer depending on the planes that I fly.  My advice is to hang in there as there's still more than a week left.

In fact, I still have not updated my game now since I am working on the Stonehenge mission.  Not being able to use the Fuel Catalyst will be very hard to finish the mission.

Thanks for your advice, and I likely will stay in the older version.

For the one collectible that never shows up behaviour, can anyone comment on this behaviour in the new version? Since the drop rate improvement is seen on both older and latest version, it seems that this behaviour would remain the same ... would appreciate if anyone can comment on this. Thanks!

The version I'm using is version 1.99.05, which is the newest listed on the Google Play Store. I'm definitely experiencing the "one collectible" thing... I'm always missing that final component - something I've been used to from other challenges  

For me, it took a week to get 4 roulette wheels from Vegas, and it's taking me forever to get 2 Nautical Charts from Barcelona, and ONE scepter from St. Petersburg. I even used a Spyglass I had in stock to help. lol

PS: I've been able to use the Fuel Catalyst successfully a couple of times - the only thing I noticed is that I had to HOLD the "use" button for a couple of seconds.

I was able to complete this challenge today (it helped that I was most of the way there already with several completed Barcelona and St. Petersburg collections before I updated), and it looks like you can only complete it once. The indicator in the top left went away after I completed it.

And did the drop rate change back to "very seldom"? I have enough to finish but am trying to finish my stars before I complete the challenge while the drop rate is good.

Yup, drops from all 3 destinations changed back to very seldom after you've collected all the required collections.
