New neighbor requests

Fellow flyers,
Have noticed a dramatic increase in new neighbor requests lately. I seem to get 4 to 6 new requests a day. Not sure why all the sudden--in the past these requests were seldom, and usually came from members on this board. This recent round of requests are totally out of the blue (pun intended). Was wondering if anyone else is seeing this, or am I just "special"?

I have not been getting that many, but I have noticed a few more. I don't know how you handle them, but I still ask them to PM me if they send me a request. I don't accept unless they're forum members. Hope you're doing well, my hijacking space pirate neighbor!

It has happened to me long time ago (last year?). Everyday it added 5-6 neighbours to the "add" list, but u didn't received any coins for new request. It was to the point that I have to delete the new requests everyday. Then, this no longer is an issues, probably after GI made a fixed.

It seems to come in waves. My erik2 game is the flavor of the week at the moment. If they have a proper city, I normally accept.

I noticed the amount of requests increased after the last update. I delete them every few days if I didn't receive a pm. I don't feel like checking all the airports, and the ones I did check don't have an airport nearly as good as my current neighbors.
