Cosmic Fuel Station

So... I have one cosmic fuel station and 1,737,283,857 solid fuels building up from it (or something close to that). How I wish it had a tiny % drop of something more useful than that.

Is there another building I'm lacking that perhaps creates a different launch fuel? With the addition of the Red Launch pad, and increased fuel demands, I'm finding that I still rarely use the solid fuel, and am increasingly short on everything else.

Any tips, suggestions, strategies? Currently I'm hitting neighbor's space buildings for collection items for chests. I'm also trying to tag along on launches for those chests, but that's only helping me contribute to my next tag-along launch - I'm not going to join and only add 10 fuel or something. Without spending greenies I'll rarely have enough to take first spot. Halp!!

Keep clicking your neighbors buildings. Visit your neighbors with planetarium and training centers first. These have the best drop rate.

Some neighbors have multiple Planetarium and Training centers, visit them! Jedv -2 -3, Falubaz, R3d, Erik1, eF

Don't forget darkdagon. He has 4 planetariums.

Kazinho has five Planetariums.  I visit him often.  Usually I get four to drop.  I'm REALLY happy with that.

I'm not even sure what a planetarium looks like, but will scan the collections for a hazy image. I DO already look for training facilities. I wish I had one. Was that an event building at one point or is it still attainable?

This has been an enormous help to me, so thanks once again. Of course now I'd like to figure out how half my neighbor's photos have disappeared and/or are marked as away! So randomly strange... *pout*

Resurrecting this thread because I see an option to upgrade the fuel building, but its only an additional "bay". What does this do?

I am also curious if any of you have stored this building in your warehouses (RedFive I am looking at you as I think you once said you glean more fuel from other resources and it was a waste is space)

You can upgrade the Cosmic Fuel station three times; was 10,15, and 20 green if memory serves me correctly. What you end up with is a Cosmic Fuel station that produces 2,3, or 4 solid fuel bundles every 24 hours.

Suspect this will come in handy with future updates, for now it is pretty useless.

Thanks! I went ahead and stored it for now. I seem to get enough from collections of drops out of neighbor's buildings.

If you're able to splash out 4 greenies on a golden dice, this will really improve the drop rate from neighbours' buildings. My strategy is to visit the following buildings in order:

1) Planetarium
2) Red launch pad
3) Mission Control Centre
4) Two Research Labs (those dome telescope things)

If the neighbour has more than one planetarium then hit these as a priority and forget about the research labs (DarekK has 6!, Kazinho has 5, Darkdagon has 4, SannSunn has 2, and there are probably several others who have multiple planetariums too). Using golden dice will often make your neighbours' planetariums drop 5-7 items each, which really increases the number of launch ready kits you get. Additionally, if you are able to buy the golden dice, use them before the 24 hours gifting time resets so you can visit the neighbours a second time while the dice are still active (remember, the six hours they last for begin as soon as you purchase them - they don't go into your warehouse for you to activate whenever you want). I tend to buy golden dice around an hour before the gifting resets, and you can find out when this is by visiting a neighbour - at the bottom left hand side of the screen it'll tell you "Refresh in XXh XXm". By doing this I can get 25-40 launch ready kits each time.
