For the "Alien Legacy" you need to complete the "A Space Odyssey" collection and it is awarded.

One issue is you need to build it on the City side and I have run out of land there...

The "Alien Legacy" drop all the items in collections of "Astromaut Outfit", "Experiments in Space", Zero Gravity Lunch", and "unning Wild", total 20 items, per day.
Also it increases 20 maximun population and costs 2x2 city land.
This building is bigger and showy...................

I just got the same issue Harry Tuttle experienced. The time countdown for the landing shows more than 375000 hours !. Any idea on how to solve this problem without losing the prize ?.

I reported the problem directly to Game insight. Hopefully they will find a solution very soon. It seems this quest came out with several bugs and glitches. I just want to keep on working to complete the Space Odyssey collection and get the monument, but with this issue, I will be able to send another rocket up there in 2054.

Where do I get the items to complete the Space Odyssey? I've only come in second place once with a Space launch and didn't get any of these "pictures". Do you need to come in first to get these, and then 5 times to complete the collection?

Normally you receive for first place (gold box) 2 pictures for the Space Odyssey collection, which ones are random.
Don't know exactly what is included in the silver and bronze box

Just like Harry Tuttle, my rocket is also lost in space, and its ETA is 376206:45:45. How does it happen? I was watching the purple count down clock counting down so that I can claim my prize. When the count down is done, and the word "Ready" appears on the purple count down clock appeared, I clicked on it and the usual window (listing all the "winners") appeared. I pressed okay and then look around for the lander a few times but there's nothing. All of a sudden, the purple count down clock goes from "Ready" to the crazy time as listed above. I then tried updating the game from V1.69 to the latest version but nothing works. Shutting down the phone and restart? Done... useless.

So, I guess I will try my luck with GI, but I am not counting on it after what I saw about Harry Tuttle's experience. I hope this would never happen to you guys, and whatever this bug is will be fixed by the next update.

I was unable to see/join any other launches, so I ended up starting my own. If others are able to see it and join, that would be great! Currently at 438/1600 pts with 23:57 left.

I've done a few now, and if you look at the tooltip when you're awarded the prize, you will see that the silver boxes award a "high" chance of the pics. This said I haven't noticed if it is different between 2nd and 3rd place... when I got third I got a silver box too, and it did have one in it. Not sure about what the chances are in a bronze box. Both times I got gold I got two pics.

They're offering to refund my banknotes and say the timer issue will be fixed on the next update, at least they're not accusing me of time travelling anymore....

How are the drop rates after the challenge is over? I still have no cosmic fuelstation but is it worth the effort? And are the drop rates of the other space building the same or greatly decreased?

For those who have the problem, that the landing counter was set to an incredible high number: I had the same problem yesterday because my tablet wasn't online in the moment where my rocket landed and so the timer was set from ready to 38xxxx hours. I was not time travelling, as GI may impute if I open a support ticket, so I tried to set my date back to the past (some years back!), logged into the game, set the date to the present and voi-la the counter went down.

Repeat this until the counter is set to ready again and you'll see the landing capsule.
After that I started a new rocket again and that worked as intended. I hope the next landing process works correctly

In order to do this you require to root the device, right?.

Dodgy, that's weird... but at the same time, I guess that explains why there are two of you (i.e. two identical Dodgy) with the same countdown when I was choosing who to join for the launches. I thought you are playing simultaneously on 2 devices. Currently, the launch that I've joined has gemini merci, John nivo laser, and you!

Bravoalpha, I don't think you will have to root the device. You can just simply change the date on your device, and it should work. However, you may need to disable the "Automatic Time and Date" setting though.

Just a small point..

Normally "time adjustment" should be done in airplane mode - i.e. not connected to the internet...

I gave it a try on my Galaxy S2 but no joy on changing the year. I guess I'll have to root my phone, right ?

Ok, going back to 2000 and then forward to 2035 worked and I got my capsule, but now Iwhen I visit friends it says I don't have enough reputation and I no longer seem to get drops from planes?

I am on Galaxy Nexus, so, I guess you and I would be quite similar. My lander was lost for the second time this weekend, and I had to go back to 1970 Jan 1, and then back to the present. This should be enough to cover 43 years. However, you may need to try it a few times, and of course, in airplane mode. I didn't have to root my phone though!

Thanks a lot, Harrier!. It is kind of tricky, since my device doesn't accept changes to dates before 1/1/2000. I had to repeat the steps like about 4 times. But it was worth it. I was able to have the lander back and nothing was lost. So, now I'll have to work on preparing the next launch!.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for getting drops back from neoghbours? Mine has said I need more reputation for the past 72 hours? I cound do with the neighbour drops back as they were my main source of space collectoon items?

3MSW, I am having the exact same problem as well. After the time adjustment, I was not able to send gifts back to my neighbours, nor can I get things from their buildings when I visit them. If this problem doesn't get resolved, it'd be very problematic for the future missions (such as the Santa Claus mission that the apple users are working on). Nonetheless, I'd also be stuck if I didn't adjust my time to get my lander back. Sigh...

I hope you guys didn't moved forward in time to solve the 38xxxx hour glitch with your capsule. If so, to put it mildly, you're "fucked up"!

If you time travel to the future the game memorizes the amount of days of time travelling and locks your ability sending out gifts + visiting neighbours until you reach the max date to which you traveled.

Let's say you moved forward until 10th December 2015, that would mean you're locked for the next three years. That's the level of knowledge / experiences of time travelling that is made by other players who time travelled only for some days. I've never seen anybody who switched for years to the future, maybe the game has a kind of max lock out of some weeks and not years, otherwise that would be very rough.

I did go forward as my phone is new and won't go back in time that far. I guess that I'll give it until the next update and if neighbours aren't back working I'll abandon the game - can't do the space race at the moment as I need treadmill drop items from neighbours.

Thanks Kakadudu for the heads up. I guess I will have to wait till Dec 31.

In the meantime, to all my neighbours who visit this forum, thanks for your gifts, and I will definitely return the favors as soon as I am allowed to. If not, it's been nice playing AC with you guys!

Totally agree, Skyhigh. Since our mission control building states it's a Level 1, we will probably have to upgrade it at some time during this upcoming promo. Hopefully the items needed for launch will be the same.

Anyone else still struggling to complete the Space Odyssey collection? I feel like I'm forever waiting for that damn horsehead nebula. Incidentally I've not bothered with the latest santa update as it seems like quite a lot of work is required and I just want to get the freakin' alien legacy so I can move on and make some headway with the actual game (still only flying props!). If there are others still launching spaceships that want to pool efforts, let me know!

Only for those who have updated to the latest version (Santa...). If you haven't stay at the previous version and complete the Lagcy collection first.

If anyone was thinking about orchestrating a launch with one other person and both of you contributing exactly 800 points in the hopes that each of you would earn a 1st place prize package... Skyhigh and I can now tell you that doesn't work. We tried it. If two people participate in a launch and both finish that launch with exactly 800 points each, the game will only give a 1st place prize package to the first person to reach 800, the other person will get a 2nd place prize package. ...So much for that idea.

Warning! Do not go forward, because your counter gets stuck.
Basically when you travel forward, you get a penalty as long as the time you won. In this time you cannot gift.

Happened to me to, but I still get drops from planes.

Because I was dumb enough to put Santa on, I need the three drops, which is a double larf cause I have yet to complete one even with the Santa promo complete.

So! anyone need a launch buddy? GASBS and I were alternating 1st and 2nd place every launch, I'd be willing to do the same with someone else since the lucky guy completed his legacy, and though he graciously offered to continue helping me, I don't want to keep him in launching purgatory with me if someone else is like me and still trying to complete, and would like a regular joint partner. I know 2nd doesnt tend to put out the pics so well but at least it does seem to be decent for the high end launch items. Hit me up by PM if you are interested

finally i can be on the forum again to share my experience. Been traveling a lot

harier started a launch so i thougt lets join. At the moment i wanted to join there where 2 launches by harrie. ah i thought a glitch just join and go
nothing happend i was the only one and you can guess fail...
Then i had the same thing again with another person who i forgot the name

so you can understand pretty bumbed out.

So time traveling messes up other launches

yesterday the stupid xmas mission ended also and unable to finish buildings and flying destinations. Starting to think i am going to quit after 160 stars a bank full of coins and almost 100k rep points

It's won't let me join with friends or on my own and how do you get the training center?
