Just had the weirdest bug pop up. Last time Duke came through, I bought 20 Excavation Map: Mesoamericas. I've been flying on them for a couple of days now, and I've noticed two behaviors that can't possibly be random:

1. Every flight - all 16 I've done so far - came back with a map chest for Mesoamerica. That in itself is nearly impossible under the 'normal' distribution I've been seeing of between 1:10 and 1:20.
2. In case you haven't guessed it from the title, every map - EVERY MAP - has been for Machu Picchu. And it, of course, is the map I didn't need any more of.

I'm not even going to bother with the last few flights. I'll file a support ticket with GI, but I don't know what they really can do.

You will find with each map location quest that there is one location that rarely drops. This forces you to fly an additional amount of times, which uses up the excavation site maps, or to buy the map chests from Duke at 12 green for three maps.

You can use guest planes as a way to offset a low number of maps to a particular location. They will drop the collectible items at the same frequency as your regular flights, but they don't count as flights for stars.

I have the same problem, any respond from GI regarding this?

^^^^^^ GI will tell you that all the maps will eventually drop if you fly there enough. Make it easy on yourself and just buy the map chests from Duke's airship.

Correction - Rental plane flights now count towards flights completed for stars.
