Anyone playing the Russian Victory Day quest?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone is playing the Russian Victory Day quest that is only availabe in Russian version. I would like to give it a try this year, and I can give Green Paint.

It will be nice to who has Veteran Museums for neighbours to visits.

How would someone not in Russia get the Russian version of the game?

You can change the language setting of your device to Russian before you start the game.

There are 3 collections in the quest.  First, fly to the quest destinations (5 of them) to collect items for the Attack Plane (1st collection).

For the Attack Plane, a special hangar is required, and each required items to complete.  The items drop from flights to a few regular destinations (Cyrus, Turkish Coast, Rome, Nice, Shanghai, Berlin, Plesetsk), or can be gift exchanged.

Once hangar is built, fly the Attack Plane to collect items for the 2nd collection, which will give the Veterans Museum.

Finally, visiting the Veterans Museum in your game or neighbours will drop the items for the 3rd collection.

Collect all collections 3 times will get you the reward building.

Where do you change those settings?
The translations to Dutch is horrible, and makes it harder to exchange new gifts when you don't know the English name. So I would like to play in English, and maybe try this Russian event as well.

One of my neighbors do it on iPad and it works. But I play AC daily on my android phone and don't want to mess up the language setting.

on Android, settings -> Language & input -> Language -> then choose those character looks like Russia.

You better marked down the location of English to switch back if you don't know Russian. (9th from top on my phone) And backup too.

I would like to give it try , but afraid of GI to tag me as " language traveller or cheater " . Lol

You may have a reward from GI for world rank top 10 cheater.

I managed to change my settings to English, but I don't want my whole phone in English, and especially not in Russian, so I will skip this event.
Big chance we will have a new one in a week or so.

I've just started playing it & have 1 hangar but I can't complete the collections because the writing is in Russian & I'm not sure where to fly off to so I can complete the collections, I have a hanger but no attack plane. Please help

There is a helmet on the left side that is a new mission. Clicking it, then the blue box takes you to the flight to be completed. All the new flight destinations are red.

For anyone who is playing, I need the items to build the hangar. df99 can gift the gray box.

The drop of items for the hangar is very decent. I have 6 flights to Shanghai (always launch 2 planes together) and 2 to Cyrus, and I almost have enough items for 2 hangars.

Let me know if you need Green Paint for the hangar. I can send when the cycle refresh.

Thanks!  I'm still trying to learn Russian .  Flights are now diverting from red destinations to hangar drop destinations

And... I just went back and read your post where it was all explained  - Now who has veterans museums?

I am not playing but these info maybe useful if you don't know Russian.

The Green Paint, Oil Container, Fuel Pump and Gun Camera are used to build the Attack Plane Hangars.
you can receive these items from Cyprus, from Turkish Coast, from Rome, from Nice, from Shanghai, from Berlin and from Plesetsk - mainly the first destination for each plane type.

The collection Летающий танк (Flying Tank, Attack Plane) is possible to gather from:
Город-герой Мурманск (Murmansk)
Город-герой Тула (Tula)
Город-герой Одесса (Odessa)
Город-герой Минск (Minsk)
Город-герой Киев (Kiev)

The Veterans Memorial Museums (both yours and your neighbors) drop items required for the quest.

Reward gives 90 coins every 4 hours. Size 2x2 max population +20. Requires 0 population and 3 electricity and requires a road.

Is anyone able to play this on a Galaxy S3? I can change the keyboard to Russian, but not the phone. I can change to Russian on my Galaxy Note tablet and I can get the new quest, but my main game is on the S3.

I am playing on my tablet, it's an ASUS. I had a language selection that looks like this русский - that is the russian version. I had to google it

That's strange. I have a S3 and am able to set more than 50 other languages.

That's strange. I have a S3 and am able to set more than 50 other languages.

I have the S4 and it only has 5 language choices loaded on my phone. I wonder if there is something that needs to be downloaded to offer the others? I don't play AC on my phone.

I'm using my phone and like SannSunn I have lots of languages to choose

I found this - they said some phones don't have all the languages installed...

Get Your Native Language without Root:

If you do not have root access on your Android device, you can still get your local language on it. Google Play Store has a very nice app for this. It is called MoreLocale 2 and is available for free.

If this doesn't work, the article says you will need to root your phone to get them.

Edit: the drop rate from flights is insane I just got my third attack plane so hopefully the drop rate from the museum will be the same

DF99 has 5 Veterans Museum.
DF10 has 4 Veterans Museum.

Gun camera, 6 Hangars, 6 Museum (at bottom of residential area)

Now i Have 3 Museums (Edit: Make that 4 Museums)
planning on getting 6 hopefully

I'm playing this Russian event as well, I missed some regular events, so I want to give this a try. Even I don't understand one word of what they're saying...   

But I see I can gift some kind of Telescope, I think it's the Gun Camera (thanks to the information from iamice!)

I got all the needed Collections so i'll not build more than 4 Museums
but i didn't press the complete button yet to get more stars

I'm 3 flights away from achieving 3-star to the Attack Plane destination, but the drop rate has been very low -- I haven't completed a single collection for the first Veterans Museum.

After the big disappointment i had last event finishing the food collection with surprising 2-0-0-0-0
i thought i'll give this a try and i didn't believe myself when i finished it so fast
so it's all about luck ..... good luck to you man, you still have 8 days to go

Do I have to stay russian to complete this event. What will happend if i swich back to dutch. Anyone did that?

I'm still after the stars and i think if i switched back to english the event will reset or even gone
so i'm staying russian (which is really annoying) till i get the stars i want which mean

so far i got 4 museums and 3 in storage, completed the last collection 12 times and have 8 attack planes 4 of them with hangars and i have now materials to build more than 6 other hangars

there is another possibility which i'm gonna try tomorrow after i get the stars i wanted is to complete the event and get the reward then switch back to english then back to russian may be the event will glitch and give the reward again ( evil minds )

Let us know how that works for you.   

I have got 10 hangars, collected items thanks to flying with Jumbo to Pleseck and collected more than enough medals already. I want to make more stars flying to Geroy cities. I can gift green color for hangar, so if you need one, please let me know.

I finished the quest and got the monument coz i was too annoyed with having everything in russian
the trick of reversing the language doesn't work (no glitch)
the only thing that is changed that the name of the monument doesn't show correctly in english calling it Null

Now back to normal playing

I have been constantly sending out 3 Attack Planes every 1/2 to 1 hour in the past 2 days, but the drop rate is still very low -- only 4 of the 2 items that I have already collected enough. I still don't have my first Veterans Museum.

This is similar to the St Patrick event -- for my game, the drop rate has become very bad after midway of the event. I'm not sure whether it is luck or a bug in the game.

I will see my luck in the next 6 days.

I have my first museum, 2 hangars and 3 attack planes after one day of playing russian game.
I hope to get all the stars up to a green jet and finish it a.s.a.p.
Very anoying when your phone is in Russian.

Damn! I only need two more ОрДеН КУТУЗОВА (Order of Kutuzov), but neither my museums nor the museums of my neighbors drops these. So I still can't switch back to Dutch language...
But I won't quit since I'm this close to completion, even though it's getting really annoying to play in Russian   

Wow! Lucky day today! It dropped all remaining 8 items that I needed to complete the event! I'm just aiming for the stars now. Thanks everyone for the nice gifts and the Veterans Museum that you have built in your game.

Just finished the russian quest after just 3 days. Never been so easy.
Still have 3 museums if anyone wants to visit.

Yeah! I've completed the event as well!
Compared with events we all got, like The Spring Has Come, this Russian event is an easy one, it's a nice feeling to complete an event

I just read this thread and thought I'd give it a go, so I flipped to russian and started the event even though there's only 2 days to go. Drop rates seem incredibly friendly (from flights to Russian cities and friends' veteran museums, seem less lucky with that fighter plane), for a change.

I now have my first fighter plane and less than 2 days to go, do you think it's realistic? I found a few friends with museums, I don't think that the medals collection will be an issue.

i finished it in less than 2 days
give it a try, the prize monument will post population + 20 which in all cases is great
