Just before Christmas Santa got into a big trouble and was left without a sleigh, aides, or gifts. Help him to get all of it back to have a proper holiday in Airport City

To complete the promo you need to do the following:

1x Get a Jet –Powered Sleigh by completing Faster than the Wind collection
1x Build a Skating Rink upon completing Christmas Elves collection
1x Complete Cold Winter collection by collecting revenue and passengers from winter buildings

oh god, this looks a lot like the Halloween one, and that one was impossible to complete.

The items listed above for the runway are actually for the hangar, friend trade or from cyprus, san fran, Sydney, moscow, iceland tokyo... all very seldom. I have sleigh oil. game on!

yep, it's slow (galaxy s2), lot of stuff to do, seems you need a lot of collections that you can only get by visiting friends or gifts so time travel won't work that well here. I have sleigh oil, I'm wondering if there is again a gift nobody has (like robottester).

Once again to get anywhere with this Santa thing you have to visit neighbours. I now have the same problem I've had for the past 3 specials and that is I can't visit anybody. Did end up able to visit 6 people out f the 146 on my list but since updating I can't visit them either. Anyone out there on version 1.76 i might be able to visit you.

I have Old Lantern and Red Paint on my phone and Oil and Red Paint on my Ipad. Have noticed on my phone that the new items such as sleigh cover, sleigh oil, heater, and red paint have not been awarded yet. I have flown multiple flights to cypress and london. Also when I gifted red paint from my Ipad account to my android phone account I received 3 fuel. I am assuming a new update will be out soon. Also when I start up I noticed the elves are digital and hard to make out. Add both accounts and tell me what you need. I send 20 gifts a day.

Happy to send sleigh oil or snowball to anybody that wants it.

Santas missions are slowing down the game. As soon as you complete the mission and not choose another one, the game is working perfect (in fact faster then before this update).

Just the update on my HTC Desire s and its making it run faster the normal witch is really good . I do need old lanterns so if some one wants to trade I can give snow balls or red paint.

I have lanterns which I will send around tomorrow and many days thereafter. But what do the snowballs do? Do you need them for other winterbuildings?

There's no way getting the items through flights. Am yet to turn up with a hangar collection through the flights... looks like gifting is the only option here!!

i have heater and snowball. need as gifts: red paint, heater and sleigh cover.

I can send sleigh oil and snow balls. ...Though I have no idea what the snow balls are good for.

I need everything for building the sleigh hangars. I am going to build a few of them because we need to complete 240 sleigh flights to earn all 18 stars that are available. And based on the color of the destination icons, these destinations will disappear after the quest ends. So I am going to build at least 2, and maybe 3 or 4 hangars to make sure I can earn all 18 stars in the allotted time.

After the Santa update the game is very, very slow on my Galaxy S3. When I am collecting coins, passengers or fuel there is a one-second delay before the game even acknowledges that I clicked on a building, and I cannot click on the next building until after that one-second delay otherwise it won't recognize that next click at all. ...Painfully slow.

I have a question for all... as it appears you need the star dust to fly to lapland and you need to get elves for the dust and their collection... and you need lanterns to get the elves... and of course the elves have a high drop rate of nothing... is it going to be more or less mandatory to buy at least one Santa's Chest (20 dust 20 lanterns)? I am getting kind of apathetic about these new mini missions as it increasingly appears you need to spend cash to have a prayer. Idk what the snowballs are for, but even if we trade them like mad I'm not sure we would be able to meet daily need.

Yesterday I visited 7 friends and used my taps exclusively on elves. I got 14 lanterns from 35 elves which also yielded 3 star dust. On my city side, using the 14 lanterns and three more from friend trade gave me only 2 more dust. Your own city drop rate appears to be horrible for everything after you complete the first few quests, esp considering item spending is required. I got 5 flights to lapland from it, but the flights are an hour. Admittedly I have a current poor sample of 2 flights now but one yielded absolutely nothing.

Oh also, like cosmic fuel station, the only way to finish hangar is cash or trade. Flew all day yesterday to all those locations with possibility of dropping items, and zilch. I never did get any fuel station drops either, to this day.

What are the snow balls for?

Don't yet know... I will post as soon as I find out, but at a guess, based on similarity to the Halloween game, it will be a future quest for friend trade like the leyden jars, which really had no other purpose.

I agree with your experiences and Sally's concerns. I think the snowballs (and icicles) are to repair the sleigh - a joy yet to come.

As an aside, I've found a bug to exploit which is useful for the space race. With it running slowly, if I exit the game and put the phone (Samsung S3) to sleep, whatever was done in the previous few minutes isn't saved - e.g. collections collected are back in store. It has to remain in sleep for several minutes to work. This can be used to advantage - for example I recycled a launch ready collection several times until it came up with a "large fuel tank" having rejected the less useful stuff previously in it.

As far as I know you don't need the old lantens for killing elves in your neighbour's cities (someone can correct me)

the sequence is right:
Kill elves in neighbours city >> get an old lanten>>use old lantern to kill an elf >> drops item for "Faster than the Wild" collection or Star Dust>> complete Faster then the wild to get Jet sleigh and so on...

You could always get the old lanten from neighbours...

yes, I'm just wondering if it is sufficient to keep sleigh going enough to complete the series in time without cash because of secondary and tertiary flight and building requirements. It's pretty multi-layered and drop rates aren't spectacular.

You are right though that neighbor elves require no lanterns to "kill" though i was trying to avoid that word, lol. Just limited by daily reputation.

falling snow dissapeared after complete skater rink mission, and the game turns very playable, faster than before update.

ok a I can send snowballs and red paint so add me as a friend, I play everyday.

Grats :-) I did get a gifts for whatever country out of the cash building Christmas Gift Shop. Still murdering elves en masse for the other things... lol

If anyone was thinking about orchestrating a launch with one other person and both of you contributing exactly 800 points in the hopes that each of you would earn a 1st place prize package... I can now tell you that doesn't work. Skyhigh and I tried it. If two people participate in a launch and both finish that launch with exactly 800 points each, the game will only give a 1st place prize package to the first person to reach 800, the other person will get a 2nd place prize package. ...So much for that idea.

@Dulles Sky Cap and @Skyhigh - nice try - shame it did not pan out..

So far I have two sleighs running hence and forth to Lapland mostly. One ice-rink is awaiting completion with the necessary items. I mostly have gift drops for Africa and Australia though, and only Africa can help me with items for the Ice Rink.

Has anyone else noticed a significant decline in the drop rate from elves?

I have been sensing a declining drop rate for the past two days and today I decided to keep stats. In 20 clicks on elves, I received only 4 drops: 3 star dust and 1 sleigh part. That is a drop rate of only 20%. I hadn't kept stats previously so I cannot say exactly what my drop rate was previously, but I am certain that it was much higher than 20% -- probably more like 50% for the first few days after the upgrade.

Also, has anyone noticed that their in-game time is running slower than real time? I have noticed several times today that my coins, passengers, fuel & meals were arriving later than they should have. When I clicked on the buildings to see how much time remained before the drop, I was surprised to see more time remaining than there should have been. I have known that this happens while visiting neighbors, but I wasn't visiting neighbors at any of the times in question today, so that is not the cause of the time lag I experienced today.

I noticed the really crappy drop rate. I'm gettin on average 1 item per 5 murdered elves of neighbours. And then I get nothing from killing my own elves. Just because I get some extra lanterns by gift (I need loads more, please send them back if you get them from me), I got 1 stardust. On the other side, visiting friends who have finished some winter buildings, gave me presents and already 2 items for the final collection...

who has these buildings? I know tdvd19, elopaco and bobby have them (thanks guys), but who else?

I have a rink, but I spent cash to complete it. I've also got a santa house and the gift shop. I've only managed to get one of the special build items in all of my flights so far, so my igloo is standing incomplete. Sonny you may find that the santa pack for 6 cash is worth the investment to keep your birds flying... I had to early on, but it was worth it to get a float of dust large enough to last me between neighbor visit cooldowns.

I have six Christmas Gift Shops, which have been dropping the gifts for the continents fairly frequently for me. I also have the Skating Rink and Ice Sculpture Park constructed, but not yet open since I still need some of the required items. I also have five Sleigh Hangars, but I don't think they drop any items for this quest, just fuel.

How are you guys finishing the "elves collection? I've been tapping like crazy on neighbors' elves to get lanterns--which nets me a few lanterns. When I get back to my airport, 9 times out of 10, I get like 2 stardusts, and that's it. If there's a quicker way to accomplish this mini-quest, I'm all ears.

arghhh my sleigh needs repair and I need an Icicle...where do you get these from.? I choose to wait the hour but would be useful to know for the future

thanks for the info, how much star dust was in the santa package? edit: never mind, I see it is 20 stardust and 20 old lanterns.

I'm just wondering how to get all the items for the other buildings? Just by doing flights or cash because they don't seem to be giftable. I don't have much cash so I might save some for the building items.

Items for the builds appear to be flight only. These items are very costly at 8 cash per item. You may prefer to go the santa's chest and gift shop route, as I too have had moderate luck with continent gift drops from the gift shop and am considering a second. Certainly way better than the pumpkin patch (which I think to this day has still dropped nothing but coin). I finished my elves collection with the chest, since it gave me 20 lanterns plus the dust.

Icicles list as a drop from London, Nice and the Arctic station. It's easier imo to let the repair base take care of it in an hour :-)

I also noticed that the repair times are not really accurate too. But this time in our advantage. I had an 8 hour repair that was finished when I logged in after 3 hours. And an hour repair was done in half an hour (also the next login).

I think you are maybe just lucky! :-) My timers appear still to be running about the correct time. The game sure does seem less laggy though, with the sudden cessation of snow...

I visited all friends, drop rates are crappier than ever, I do have the skating rink now, but without stardust (just 1 out of 10 lanterns), I can't finish it. I visited about 20 special winter buildings from friends and got 1 chair (for the sleigh, which I have plenty...). I refuse to spend cash.... still 20 days to go...

I donno if this is a bug or something else, since 2 days ago I sent out all of my 20 gifts and maxed all of my neighbor visits. But since then the gifts counter is kept at 0, and upon visiting any neighbor it says "get more reputation to visit more neighbors/day" message. I have sent an email to the support donno if they might help or not.

(P.S. I did not do any time travelling not even once since the day I installed the game).

I'm in the same boat re: the skating rink. I don't think I've gotten a single construction part to finish that thing, no matter how many flights I send out w/gifts. I really would rather not spend real money on this promotion, mainly since it's still awfully slow even after the snow removal.

Hi all has anyone eles had the bad Santa stuff come off coz one minute it was there and now its gone iv messaged surport team but havnt had anything back. In just really confused.HELP SOMEONE

@flyingshadow: I am experiencing the same problem. All of my Santa destinations have disappeared. I have six sleighs sitting idle because they have no destinations. I also have two skating rinks and an ice castle that I cannot open because I am missing required items and I cannot fly to the Santa destinations the get the items. I wasn't able to max out the 3 stars to each destination, and I never got the ice palace. Hopefully it is a temporary glitch that will be fixed soon.

@Dulles Sky Cap: that's the same as me got no destinations to go to still gotta get the stuff for the ice palace and still havnt got the collectables and I still had about 20 days left on it. And I hope it is a temporary thing and not permanent or we're stuck with half built buildings

Did you earn the Christmas tree? It seems that the Santa quest disappeared from my game right after I earned the Christmas tree. I think that maybe earning the Christmas tree "completed" the quest, and once a player has "completed" the quest it disappears. If correct, that sucks because now I won't get a chance to earn 3 stars to the sleigh destinations -- lost stars that I will never get another chance to earn.

Yeah did get the Christmas tree but if you are correct that's really unfair if u got buildings that isn't completed and havnt 3 stared the place's.
