Space Race (Per Aspera Ad Astra) - V1.69 (V1.70 for some)

I just did the math. Assuming you don't sleep for the 24 hrs Launch Prep time and you fall just short of getting 1 last one of each item, you can only get 820 launch points from the $ items at a cost of $41,000. If you had saved up 11 solid fuels from the Cosmic Fuel Depot you can bring that up to 952. Therefore, it's impossible for 1 person to do it alone with $ only. 2 people could do it if they do nothing else for 16 hours, or 3 for 12 hours.

(Edit: 44.4 manhours to 1600 LPs assuming clicking every 10 mins, and no solid fuel)

I joined someone else's launch who has contributed 208 LPs and seems to have stopped there. A third joined us who hasn't contributed anything. All three of us have ribbons with 1,2,3 in them in order of contribution amount, so does this mean the reward is staggered according to contribution? Also looks like I'm going to have to spend airport bucks so that I don't lose the contribution I've already made, cause the others aren't stepping up

OK, we now have a fourth. Top contributor has gold(1), 2nd silver(2), 3rd bronze(3). No ribbon/medal for the fourth so it looks like prizes are split 3 ways or less.

I am sure most people have figured this out by now...

For spaceship Launch you will need 1600 points and you have 24hrs to complete

To get the points you need the following

Liquid Fuel - 2 points - 100 coins
Small Fuel Tank - points - 300 coins
Additional Stabilizer - 12 points - 600 coins
Explosive Bolt - 24 points - 1200 coins
Solid Fuel - 12 points (2hr)
Large Fuel Tank - 40 points - 1 cash (2mins)
Main Stabilizer - 120 points - 3 cash (1min)
Powerfull Explosive Bold - 360 points - 9 cash (30sec)

Each items above has a timer before it can be activated again (e.g. Solid Fuel has a 2hr timer)

Apparently I was wrong about only the top 3 getting some loot... the last pic is of the "Training Facility" that you get after you launch.

If anyone knows who these other players are I'd like to high five FF_fuel/psngrs and ask the other 2 why they couldn't throw a couple coins into the fountain lol. I don't know if it's possible to find players by their user names?

Just joined the site and looks like you have a great community going here. I can send video wall, laser level and of course any items required for flights (eg powerful radio transmitter and fuel additives needed to fly to places that drop space quest items.

Yes they are giftable- but few are able to (not me sadly). If you look through the posts here you may spot some kind friends

OK so I launched yesterday, waited the 24 hours breathlessly, watched the timer count down the last few minutes..... and nothing. The time changed to "ready" for a while then it changed back to a crazy timer:

I bit the bullet and updated, crossing my fingers, and everything's still there when I restarted but the crazy timer's still there too. No lander, no prizes, nothing. Looks like they didn't have the launch figured out when they released the event, then they figured out and added the launch but didn't bother with the landing until today. Now something's gone wrong. Off I go to email support

Need friends to help me launch.

Ok, I got to the point where it says: Your friends have no on going space programs. Start a new one and then tap "Add a friend" to invite them to participate in the spaceship launch.

If I'd rather join somebody else's launch, do I just wait until my join button is clickable? with a list of people? like what Harry Tuttle said?

Does joining your friend's launching count towards your own? or you will have to launch your own eventually?

@Aoi - It really does not matter so much who starts the launch sequence...

Depending on who puts in the most points (1600 needed) they get the 1st prize, 2nd to the next contributor and so on.

You all get a Training Center and some points.

Thanks tamildv ^^! I see.. does the "friend" they refer to the same as the "neighbors" ? I guess my question is more like: will the list of people automatically show up from my neighbors who are doing launching? or will I have to add them manually from my neighbor list (to invite them)?

It will/should show any of your current neighbours who are launching and allow you to join their launch....

Or you have a choice of logging on to facebook and inviting a new neighbour...

OK, I'm a bit confused here--I've just started the launch process, but I'm not entirely sure how to "add friends" to contribute to my launch. I'm not using the game on facebook, so I'm not sure if people who are already my neighbors automatically become "friends" and join my launch. Apologies if I've missed something.

Ok this is the sequence how things work...

When you are ready to start a launch sequence you have two choices
1. Either Start a new launch sequence
2. Join one of your existing neighbours launch sequences which they have started (it tells you how many points and time is left)

When you join an existing neighbours launch sequence:
You get to contribute towards the 1600 points needed for launch.

If you choose to start a new launch sequence, your existing neighbours have a choice to join your launch sequence (if they are ready to start a launch sequence and have not already started one)

you are also given the choice to invite new neighbours via facebook

Which every way it is done:
1st prize goes to the most points contributor
2nd prize goes the 2nd most points contributor
3rd prize goes to the 3rd most points contributors

As far as I am aware there are only 3 prizes.

You all get a training centre (if you don’t already have one). You then have to wait for 24hrs for the spaceship module to return before you can be ready to launch again

That sounds great, but I don't remember being given the option to "join" any programs... Regardless, I started the launch sequence, so I guess I simply have to wait for others to join... I'm not seeing anything at the bottom of my "spacehip launch" window except ME and "add friend," which takes me to facebook (which I'm not using).

Just joined your program, no worries. We can do it in 2. (+96 right off the bat )
btw : if you have 12 greens buy stone castle it drops stuff like crazy. Already have enough stuff for next 2launches.

Just keep adding stuff till we reach 1,6k points and launch it.

No point spending greens, beeter buy land/buildings. And doesnt really matter much which place you have, from boxes you get stuff for more space flights. Like items for collections + preparation items. And some more exp and cash.

And we already have 300points in 45mins so do the math.

Well, I wasn't going to spend the greens yet--unless it started looking desperate I only have one more bolt and 2 solid fuels (I think). I was a bit foggy on the whole space program thing to begin with. lol

I agree: I usually try to save those dollars for expansions and special buildings....
