Can't sell the launch pad.

Dear airport city players.

After completing my first space launch I want to swap my launch pad for a level 2 launch pad.
It seems I can't delete/sell my launch pad level 1, I get the following message:
"You cannot remove this building with a spaceship in launch".

This is strange, since I don't have a space program running, neither do my neighbors.
There is no rocket in the pad and I completed the last program.

I run version 1.95 on Android 4.1.1 on a GT-N7100, a Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Any idea's how to sell/delete my launch pad?

The error message is a bit misleading... as far as I know you can not sell it as it considered to be a unique building. (I will try again just to confirm and get back to you)

Aaah I see. If that's the problem the error message is indeed misleading. I play the game in Dutch language and I see more often misleading messages.
Please let me know if I can't sell the launch pad, because I'm running out of space. Thanks for your time.

I've just updated to version 1.97 and the problem is still there.
I'm pretty sure it must be possible to sell the launch pad as I see different neighbors switch to a level 2 pad. Also I know one guy who sold all the space buildings, including the launch pad level 1.

I just tried and I could sell my Launch Pad 1 and now am building LP2. I sold it the same way as how I sold the other residential/commercial buildings. I play in iOS, not sure if it makes a difference.

It's still not working.
I simply can't sell my launchpad1.
I need the space for a LP2 but I can't afford to buy more land (yet).
Any other idea's?

Something else is wrong,
since I've build my launch pad, none of my neighbors has started a space program.
This might be true but it seems a bit illogical as I have over a hundred neighbors.

You can't delete Launch Pad 1 until you have completed Launch Pad 2. One of the requirements to complete Launch Pad 2 is a completed shuttle from Launch Pad 1.

After you have completed Launch Pad 2, you can then delete Launch Pad 1 for additional space.

You are (maybe party) wrong.
I already had build the launch pad 2 before I've build the launch pad 1.
When I've got the space program 1 as a mission I sold the launch pad 2 to complete the mission.
Now I did mission 1, and I want to start mission 2, but I can't sell the launch pad 1. I can't build the second launch pad now I don't have room for it. I can't buy anymore land as I don't have enough money.
I also never build the mission control center 1.
