Facebook fuel & Passengers

My fuel and passengers gifts now have a Facebook icon and try to direct me somewhere when I take them. Anyone know what this is all about as I'm pressing cancel at the minute?

From what I understand, we are now able to send those 2 items to people that are playing AC on facebook. This however means that fuel which could be sent out to neighbours previously, can't be sent to non-facebook games any more. Passengers(5) is a new item for facebook neighbours, but the existing passengers(10) is still available and can be sent.
