Is it possible he bought them in the airship store? Since you can buy buildings from past quest.....Mystery super building and mystery super building 2. I have heard some people buy a building and if they don't like it, they restore the game and try again. Seems like a lot of work but maybe worth it.

Your chances are 100%~~Purchase Msytery Super Building from Airship. Open it up and see what you got. If it is not to your liking then restore game to point just prior to your purchase and try again. There is already a thread on backing up and restoring games.
