Update V1.75 (V1.76)

List of current bugs I found:

Road either becomes a rhombus or disappears totally
Game is very slow on various devices
Unable to delete neighbours (option removed)


Feature?
Pumpkin Bed has been removed - no option to build one

Santa missions are slowing down the game. As soon as you complete the mission and not choose another one, the game is working perfect (in fact faster then before this update).

Galaxy S II here. Game seems pretty slow for me too. I thought maybe it was because of the snowfall.

Same issues here--new Galaxy Nexus and up until the Santa update, this game has usually run super fast. I'm thinking the constant snow animation has something to do with it, as well.

You are right!!
Finally i complete the Santa mission (sub-mission) under very very slow game speed.
The game speed revovered and I can smoothly keep working toward the goal of main Santa mission.
It is a undoubted bug in the game.

sooooo.... is it a wise choice not to update? (slow speed, and dissapear destinations, etc)
OR, if I update, just because I could send necessary gifts for friends in need.. and not joining in completing any task/quest..

I barely can play, it is too slow. I have Galaxy SIII.

I know... it's really frustrating... doing my best to get through the christmas quests, though.

Don't know if anybody mentioned already but since the Santa update it's not possible to start a new rocket launch. As soon as you have all four collections ready and click on the button complete, nothing happens.
Haven't checked if the collections are gone. Normally a new window opens and the game offers you to join an existing launch of a friend or make a new one. But no info window!
Tried to click multiple times on my platform but no reaction

@Kakadudu - I have been able to start a launch and send a rocket off on V1.75 (with 3 neighbours joining in)

BTW if you want the Alien Legacy - you will need to complete the "A Space Odyssey" x3 to get one!!!

3 times? Didn't it used to be only ONE? That stinks. I've done a bunch of launches, and still can't get ONE collection.

@Tamil: have you done this, after you finished all Santa missions (last one should be to collect all items for the skating rink collection)? If so that would make sense because the game returns to his normal speed.

Hi everybody,

I can confirm this because it has also happened to me. In fact, I had to go back to the last backup I had due to this problem and checked it again with no luck. So, I can not start a rocket launch.

BTW, I could not see any neighbor launch even before this glitch and the game is unbearablyly slow on my asus transformer prime despite its powerfull hardware.

I thought GI people could not do it worst at the technical level, but I think they are outdoing themselves with every "update" ...

Now, appart from not being able to visit most of my friends nor their names/levels being updated, not being able to redeem any code (no new neighbors if I invit them nor weekend codes), not being able to join any launch ...
I can not delete any neighbor I suspect is wrong!

In my game, I just finish the sub-mission that ask player to collect all items for the skating rink collection, and build the skating rink.

The Santa disappears and does not remind any sub-mission.
The game speed recovers in this moment.
The main mission "Cold Winter Collection" is not completed, so I do not finish the "Santa's Bad Day". But the game speed issue does not bother me anymore.

More glitches ...

I am stuck in the "gift delivery" mission ("Recogida de regalos" in spanish) as, the counters for the trips are at 0 despite I have send 3 flights to sudamerica and africa (they are properly accounted in the stamps ...)

On the other hand, I have many notifications saying you have a gift or somebody has invited you to be friends, but when I enter the game, nothing is there.

Finally, the game "forgets" many thinks after the tablet enters in sleep mode ...

I have seen a few people use this as a feature... i.e. open a gold box - see what is in there, if you don't like it (put the tab to sleep) and then open it again...

As far as I know this you can not open and keep all the items.. (i.e. multiple drops) just once..

Toshiba AT100 tab having same problem. So slow it takes me forever to collect everything.

Hi again,

I have acomplished the "gift delivery" mission after realizing that you have to get 2 gifts for africa and 2 gifts for sudamerica AND NOT RELAYING them. The spanish translation for this mission is really confusing, as it states that you have to carry the gifts from laponia to africa/sudamerica.

Wish I had seen this... I just placed an Ice Palace, though I still need items for it so it has the red exclamation point on it still. After my phone rebooted Airport City wasn't installed any longer and I had to reinstall. This has happened multiple times in the past but after a reinstall it seemed fine. This time though, the Christmas special isn't there and there aren't any flights for the sleds etc. The good news is that the game is back to normal speed.

Please post here when you hear something from support I'll be very curious what they have to say.

I have a friend related problem with the Christmas tree. When the little box icon shows over the tree, the "gift" is 5 coins and a note saying "Bonus from neighbor xxxxx" after which the timer resets to 23:59. This happened three times. I did try time traveling with my internet off to see what happened and it worked as intended. My neighbor are nicking my prezzies! It would be interesting to know if they actually did get the collection item, hehe.

oh yes, one other, may not be new but I only just completed the weather vane. I assumed it was going to decrease flight times, but it appears to do nothing. Very underwhelming.

I've got the same problem... unable to finish the balls collection and can no longer see elves or do flights to get items to build awarded christmas buildings. I purposely didn't build ice skating rink and complete the santas bad day challenge as I thought the elves might disappear but when I visited tamil (who has ice rink) it completed the challenge (perhaps assuming his rink was actually mine???). Why make the challenges so complex as to make it so most people don;t complete it despite putting loads of time in. I 'failed' the world cup one as I didn't get 2 floats (had 20x 4 of the items but only ever got 1 of the 5th). This could be such a great game without all these bugs. Absolutely ridiculous

Hey Jackpot, the same thing happened to me yesterday.
I placed the Ice Castle on my land (It hadn't been completed) and a message came up to say the quest Santa'a bad day was complete. Then all the sleigh flights and elves disappeared.
So I'm left with an incomplete Ice Castle and Igloo.

Hi gammayyc, and what is need for the Ice Castle?....that's the last gift when you complete "Cold Winter" right?.

Hello, I've got problem with Santas bad day event. There are three tasks. First I completed fast. Second - I've completed Elves Collection I've set but I didn't open skating ring due to lack of part. My tasks status was: 1/1; 0/1; 0/1 Few days later I've completed third task and set IcePalace. I've looked at my task status : 1/1, 0/1, 1/1 I didn't open my skating ring. Suddenly few minutes later game decided to stop Santas Event and I won tree.

WHYyy? I have not yet fulfilled all the tasks! I lost the opportunity to travel across the continents

I wanted to get sculpture park. I wanted open skating ring.

Got a rather unsatisfying response from support on this issue which I've quoted below. I guess they're hoping to get people to spend more green cash to complete the buildings... Not sure what the point of having the sleighs is now either.

"The point is that in case the building is constructed in your Airport the time of the event is over. In this case you can get the necessary items to complete the winter collections, open the Christmas buildings and the gifts for flights only from certain Christmas sets. All of them are available in the Shop."

According to support that's the way it's supposed to be. Once you place your building they remove all methods to complete it other than cash. Can you say "ripoff scam"?
