Not being able to add neighbours

I have a problem lately that entering friend/promo code has no response, hence I can not add neighbours (currently at 36).
I get no reply (usually it was "You got 100") and noone is added to my waiting list.
Even when entering some nonses (like "aaaaaaaaaa") I do not get message that code is invalid.
Gifts are coming in (and hopefully going out) normally.
Anyone else experienced that?
BTW: Can someone try to add me to the neighbour list and let me know what happens

Sometimes this happens to me too. I think the reason is that I don't have a connection to the GI servers or my phone has no online connection.

But after several tries it always worked. You should try to re-enter the codes a few times, if that doesn't work make a restart of your device, sometimes this helps too.

Seems adding me is working fine, but I cannot add anyone using his/her code.
Also I am unable use promo codes. At first I thought my Redeem! button is simply not working.
Then today I had most funny thing happen to me.

I entered (fake) code "alara", and immediately some level 8 user with username Alara showed up on my waiting list.

might be a feature... as now you are allowed to add ipad/iphone users and they all have names...

could it be just luck (or unluckly) that you found someone call alara?

Not sure why this happened, but I cannot add any android users
My game is acting strange lately (items dissapearing, friends dropping from the list). Maybe I will take a break and try later. Or start anew.

I also facing this problem since last week and has been reported to GI. Hopefully can solve since I don't want to reset this game anymore.

Are other people still having this problem?

A few weeks ago, the promo codes stopped working for me, then I noticed that I couldn't add friends (doesn't give an error or anything, just I type in the code, hit "Redeem!", and no result). I also can't tell whether items I'm sending to people are actually received (haven't received anything myself since then either).

I have currently 12 neighbours and few are in waiting. They are in waiting since last 3 weeks and they are never getting added to my list. At the same time, in my 12 neighbours I can collect gifts on daily basis only from 6-7, why it limits me for rest of the neighbours. Can you please assist me.

* Why neigbours are not getting added
* Why I am unable to collect more gifts from neigthbour even though I have 12.

Playing the game on a Kindle Fire. I have noticed my code is 8 characters long when most are 6 or 7 in length. None of the friend codes I have entered have worked. I always get the message that the code is not valid and I should make sure I "write it right".

MaiLilPwny: I was having this same issue but hadn't noticed my Kindle Fire code was longer than other peoples. I thought I would try adding you since you are using the same devide and it worked!!! You are the first person I have ever got a code to work for! So apparently Kindle Fire users can only add codes of other Kindle Fire users.
