Dancing with the Leprechauns

How's everyone getting on with this St. Paddy's day update then? Drop rates as useless for all as they are for me? Nearly 3-starred all Irish destinations and haven't completed a single collection yet. Ditto for scaring away those irritating little leprechauns. Yet another ploy to make us fork out hard-earned greens on spyglasses/chests no doubt...

I don't even started this event, I looked at it and saw the drop rates of the flights, and decided to focus on the regular missions.
I only gift Silver Cresent to neighbours who want it, but I don't even use the ones I get in return. This event is crap!

Collecting the 200 three-leaf Clover was easy.
I just finished with the Leprechaun/horseshoe part -got the 3 sets.
Now sending flights like crazy. Have one set complete.

The drop rate seems the same to me but I dont have any data to prove it. And of course the event's to generate revenue for GI! They certainly didn't produce this game for pleasure LOL

For me this is very similar to the farmers market quest in that 1 item of a collection is impossible to collect. I am still to obtain a pipe from the horseshoes (all others are 7+). Same was happening with the flights until I used a spyglass. Only then did the triskion start dropping (I now have the necessary 3).

I have the same problem with both collections. Good to know the spyglass does its work for this event, but I will first try it for some more days without it.

Agreed - it's the pipe and triskelion that aren't dropping for me either. I think I'll leave it for a bit before buying a spyglass - there's still time. Good to know they do actually drop though!

I got silver crescent from flowers like 4 out of 5. Nothing from the leprechauns.

You misunderstood my question. I was asking what they get. The neighbors.

Usually when you click a neighbor's Building, you get something (of course) but the neighbor gets something too.

However when you click flowers (for the crescent) or the Leprechauns (for the much more rare horseshoe) the neighbor gets nothing... as the previous answer states.

Hope that makes sense.

Irish Mansion. You will get this building as a reward for completing the quest. It gives you 42 passengers every 8 hours and increases max population by 20. The building doesn’t require population to work.

Does anyone know whether the spyglass affects the drop rate of the non-flight leprechaun items? I have been using close to 15-20 horseshoes a day from day 1 but have yet to get a leprechaun hat....

Don't think so.  I used a spyglass and not only was the drop rate from the flights still pretty useless, the drop rate from the leprechauns was as dire as it was before (i.e. zero drops from about 12 horseshoes).  Also, in the spyglass 'parameters', it just states "from flight + 150%".

I rather have cash than passengers. But it will be great if it doesn't require population!!

Looks like GI can't even get their information the same in 2 different places, but either way is fine with me, passengers or coins. Looks like a neat building to have and I am close, just need 2 more drops from flights. I am more interested in the 20 more population, every little bit helps.

I got mine. 20 population. Mansion drops passengers.

1 damn Ale left for me. Need mas horseshoes as the drop rates aren't great still.
