New Android version 1.60: Mysterious airship

Just downloaded the new version for Android tonight.

Seems to have created a new character "Sky Merchant Duke Croocker" who's first mission is to collect Gas Canisters from a new destination "Arctic Station". Details as follows:

Plane type: Turbo-prop
Fuel: 16
Passengers: 38
Item required: Landing Lamp

1 star - 16 flights
2 stars - 32 flights
3 stars - 65 flights

Apparently only drops Gas Canister (often) although this may change as game progresses?

Rewards: 80 coins, 42 experience.

I just updated as well and I also have a new gift that I can send - rope block.

I thought at first that one had been removed but it turns out that they were just rearranged a bit.

Well done – you have beaten me to it…

Yes new version/update out from GIS V1.59 or V1.60 (depending on your device)

New destination:
Artic Station (Landing Lamp required)

Collections appear to be unchanged (44 in total)

New missions (Once you complete all the run around) Airship Dock is unlocked (other wise 20 cash – thanks Kaka)

New building: (After you finish the new missions for Air dealer Duke Croocker)

AirShip Dock - 3000 coins – ~~4 x (Channel Bar, Handling Line, Rope Block, Sand Bag)~~ (requires road but can be built on the airport side) (You get/pickup 3 Channel Bar's and 3 Handling Line's while completing the tasks)

4 x channel bar (turkey coasts and Dubai)
4 x handling line (Goa and Moskow)
4 x rope block (Bali and New York)
4 x sand bag (artic station and Paris)

Looks like Rope Block and Sand bag can only be got from gifting or buying with cash [As people are already able to gift Rope block - I can send Sand bag - As usual please post your requirement in the Need-Help-On-Parts thread.

This give you access to the Airship Store where you can get: (total you can buy is limited)
Smuggler’s Bag (free) {Need to check what is in it} {Added to your warehouse}
Fuel (150 units) 10 cash {These are added to your total - so can not be added to the warehouse and used later}
Passengers (300) 6 cash {These are added to your total - so can not be added to the warehouse and used later}
Duty Free Set (1000 coins) {Added to your warehouse}
Mystery Building (4 cash) {Added to your warehouse}
Mystery Bonus (8000 coins) {Added to your warehouse}

Airship store is only available for 3 days

the Smuggler's Bag (From Duke Crooker) appears to have random items (e.g. Fuel (20), Passenger's, Family Ticket, Golden Toad etc...)

New items yet to work out what they are for:
Fuel Catalyst (Description: Required for flight acceleration)
Ballpoint Pen (Description: NULL)

Total number of gift items has gone upto 36 (i.e. this is the different giftable items one person has)

Hmm if the new store is only available for 3 days and some parts required to build it up even cost cash why should you make the effort to build it??

The stuff you can buy with coins are not alluring too. Sad

I hope tamil you find out anything else new that could make this building interesting Smile

tamildv, what do you mean by its only available for 3 days? the building disappearsor stops producing? That's very disheartening Sad

What I mean is that once you have started the construction of the airship dock a counter with 3days starts and you have three days to complete/collect all the items for the airship dock and then buy whatever you want from it. I presume GIS will use this feature as an ongoing way of selling things to you!! Twisted Evil

Once the counter of 3 days is over, are you able to begin a new dock and start to collect all the things from beginning? Or is it an one-time chance to build and finish this building?

Hey tamil one update you could resume in your first post:

After you finish the new missions for Air dealer Duke Croocker for the Airship dock the dock costs 3000 coins. To complete it is needed:

4 x channel bar (turkey coasts and Dubai)
4 x handling line (Goa and Moskow)
4 x rope block (Bali and New York)
4 x sand bag (artic station and Paris)

I have this information from facebook, no quaranty that they are correct. I'm still at the missions, but the person who posted it is an active airport city user.

edit:
i can confirm that all the drop location are true. once you start to build the dock a timer is running like during an event.

Read in the Facebook group a comment from a player that All-Inclusive bracelet can't be gifted "anymore" ... possibly after this upgrade? Apparently can only obtain with green cash now.

Just a side note: the air dock remains once you build it. As far as I understood it air dealer Duke Crooker will visit your airport two times in a month for 3 days

That explains the 3day window that opens after the airship dock is built... I wonder if you will need to collect more items later..

The main construction of my airship doc is completed and still awaiting 1 x Handling Line, however, my countdown timers says I have 10+ hours rather than 3 days?!?! Perhaps the countdown was triggered by something before I started building my airship dock?

I think that in 5 hours the zepplin will be off again...maybe the 3 day window started at friday afternoon.
You will need 4 of all the items to complete the construction....

That was my plan too, but as I only started building airship dock today, I was given about 10+ hours to complete it ... not 3 days! The countdown seems to have started maybe on Thursday/Friday. So you should start building the airship dock now since it takes 1 hour and there may be only a few hours left, and hope you can get someone to gift you the other items in a few hours!

Unfortunately I can't gift the final items you need, but tamildv might be able to help you if you PM him!

BTW, I completed my airship dock now (thanks to gifts!) with about 5 hours remaining and my mission from Duke Croocker is to "Acquire Smuggler's Bag from Airship store" .... will it arrive like a guest plane does or do I have to just wait and it'll suddenly appear?

Ok, the airship just does suddenly appear! And now I have about 5 hours with it still here. Seems the 3 days is a total period for building the airship dock and for the airship to be docked at it!

Got my smuggler's bag which included passengers, fuel and 2 x spy glass!

Pheww.. that freaked me out and I went and built the airship dock. Luckily, it says I have 2 days 14 hours to finish building it. And the airship shop lasts for 62+ hours ^^

I decided to spend 8000 coins in the airship store for a Mystery Bonus, and what I got was a Golden Key which is for 2 hours of making it LESS likely your planes will need to be repaired. What a waste of coins! Never again!

It is confirmed. I've finished the dock, thanks for the rope blocks from tamil, and nothing.
No timer, no ship.. is the time passed already? Coz I thought the clock and timing is different for each person (subject to each one's dock being built)..
May be I should just wait for the next visit then :-)

My guess is the timer starts at friday and runs until sunday. Most of us started to build at friday, so we had a timer around 2 days and X hours. People who started to build on saturday or sunday had a smaller time window.

I'm curious if the ship will return in 2 weeks and as many of us already mentioned will have again a lot of incredible bonuses !!! Razz

It looks like your shops items replenished themselves. Did you purchase all of the items in the store last go around? I purchased everything but the fuel and passengers for they do not go into inventory. You have to use them when purchasing them. That is all that is for sale in my store. my items did not replenish. I also have not downloaded the new update that's not yet available. :-)

Yes I bought out all the items first time round... - I have two games running and both seem to fill them selves back up...

Make sure you are scrolling to the right and left to see all items...

Yep, same here. I didn't buy out everything but the ones I did buy out are refilled. The two items that you can buy for coins are back as are the mystery buildings which I bought out as well.
