More hangars than allowed?

Not a problem as such, but thought something that was noteworthy.
Whilst waiting for parts for my control tower upgrade to level 3 (elusive weather displays held me back for a while!), I thought I would see if I could add more hangars anyway. I found that I was able to add another 2 and now have a total of 6!
My control tower upgrade is complete and it clearly states I can only have a maximum of 5 hangars, yet somehow I have 6.
A bug perhaps? I don't dare try to exploit it again in case I break the game somehow.

Nice find - perhaps someone who is in the process of upgrading could check this... obviously you will need the coins in the bank
The cost for hangers are:
Level1 - 100 coins
Level2 - 1200 coins
Level3 - 4000 coins
Level4 - 8000 coins
Level5 - 8000 coins

Sorry should have said - someone to check if they are able to build more hangers than allowed while the control tower is under construction... opps..

Tried the same thing (upgrade Control Tower to lvl 3 - I am missing wide-angle binoculars) but it doesn't work for me. Could not build 5th hangar

Perhaps GIS fixed a bug with the "mysterious airship" upgrade?

I just tried and it worked, I am upgrading my control tower to level 2 and build a 5th hanger (level 3), unfortunately I don't have room for a 6th hanger, yet...

Uh, the newest? I just started last week. I have the zeppelin guy task.
Btw I redid my whole town to make some space and I just build my sixth hangar. But building a seventh wasn't allowed.

Does it help to have more hangars of the same level? Do repairs go even faster then?

No, but you need one hangar per each plane you own

for me it is also work, when constructing control tower level 3, I just can buy 4 more because no more space at the airport side, so I have 8 hangars, when the space available I can't buy more hangar anymore.....It said upgrade first.....
