Server connection errors

Almost all day I've been getting "Server Connection error" messages. I am unable to reliably load neighbors' games as a result. Right now I've tried several different neighbors 10-12 times worth no luck.

Yep - been getting the same thing... thought at 1st it was because of my connection since I'm on vacation... but realized it was only happening when visiting neighbors on AC.... I hate GI!

No problem here, the only think I have notice is that some of my neighbors have 45 stars i can not visit them, when I do the game crashes. Cruisepuppy and Frothybrandy seem to heve 45 stars.

Same here also server problem and some of the neighbors have lvl 45
(apple? Ipad/iphone) but can not vistit them.

Hopefully we get a few levels in, is perhaps a solution to the population

I have as well those problems. Keep trying Mike, somehow I managed to visit my neighbors after all.

Now the connection error is returning my flights earlier, gives me the received gifts two or three times, and giving me money sooner from my buildings. Looks like I'm time traveling, but I'm not.
Hope GI won't block my account, then I'm not complaining (for the first time).

Can't visit neighbors >lv 40 neither.

Unlike SannSunn I havn't receive anything from my flights the last two days, pretty strange.

But keep flying. 

I've been getting this exact problem since the last update for St.Patricks Day event. Almost every time I try to visit neighbours - probably 9 times out of 10 - I get the Server Connection Error. Very frustrating as I desperately need to collect as many horseshoes as I possibly can from visiting neighbours but at the moment am only managing to make around 2-3 successful visits per day.

Any one else experiencing the same issue with this update???

I don't get a connection error, but I do have a problem with visiting neighbors since the last update.
The screen with the neighbors is a bit messed up, they dissapear, I can't scroll down, or the heart doesn't appear (to show I've visited them already).
With this problem it usually helps to return to my own airport.

SS, I am having the same problems when visiting neighbors and use the same techniques as you to continue.

Yep, I have the same new "enhancements" as SS. Same solution, I use my tablet's back button, then select "home".

I have also noticed my game didn't save a few times and I lost all current progress. When I go back in, planes just sent out are still in airport and gifts lost . I visit one of my friends before I exit the game and it seems to stop this problem.

I've noticed this as well on the odd times I manage to actually make a successful visit . . . guess it must be a 'feature' of our latest GI update. While returning to my own airport fixes the "buggy-ness" with the neighbour list it does not unfortunately help with the server connection problems when I try and visit the next neighbour.  

Same issue here as SS. Try revisiting another neighbor and then go back to the list. Takes forever to visit neighbors now.

I have less problems when I visit the neighbors lower in the list, the first 8 give the most problems, is my experience at least.

Since this morning I'm getting the Server connection error again and can't visit any of my neighbors!
I had another update this morning (after already updating yesterday), don't know whether the problems have anything to do with this.
Anyone else having these problems?
Edit: Problem solved! (Don't know or it was a GI problem or a problem with my device)

I've found that working backwards (reverse alphabetical) will keep me from having the disapering neighbor list or server connection problems.

Sometimes (most times in fact) when my neighbors list stalls I can use the troublesome slide bar at the right to move further through the list. That's NOT to say the slide bar is easy to use however. LOL
